It’s quite interesting watching them grow. I’ve grown a few different types of mushrooms in the past but this is the first time growing lion’s mane.

2 days later it has grown a fair bit and now looks like lion’s mane.

Lightsats is great if you are giving sats. I’ve used it before to gift sats and it worked without issues. I believe it generates a QR code that you could print but also gives a URL that can be sent by email etc to claim the sats. From memory it has an expiration of a couple of weeks (this may have been configurable) and you get the sats back if not claimed within that time.

I’ve sometimes thought about writing some longer form articles to post on Nostr so I might at least give it more of a try for that functionality.

nostr:npub1yzvxlwp7wawed5vgefwfmugvumtp8c8t0etk3g8sky4n0ndvyxesnxrf8q I love the new look of the app, bar few issues that will probably prevent me from using it frequently:

- Default view shows Trending threads, with no way to change it to follows as default.

- Follows view shows notes (replies and new threads), with no obvious way (to me) to change it to the threads only with no replies.

Hope this will be fixed 🫡🫂

Just gave it a try with my test account. I actually really like the look of it and it seems to work well but I agree with those points. I would also rather be able to see follows by default and also opt to not see replies unless I expand them. It’s great to have another good client option for iOS though.

It’s a brand new MSI Cubi NUC 1M. I suspect it may just be too new as it looks like the graphics may not be supported in the current installer. I had already been considering whether to build it manually anyway but wanted to have a look at StartOS.

I’ll definitely check out those videos. I’ve been roughly basing the install so far on the RaspiBolt guides and changing to x86_64 instead of arm since I’m using a NUC instead of Raspberry Pi.

Ubuntu server. Yeah dedicated NUC to run bitcoind and cln to hopefully replace my current Umbrel node.

I didn’t get far with this as I couldn’t get the StartOS installer to work on the new NUC. I’m not too concerned about having the nice interface or app marketplace so instead I’m installing the new node manually on Linux. So far Bitcoin Core is installed and has finished syncing. Next will be to install CLN. nostr:note105jqu9ae65jlukx8e03jhyv0yv7dh288c3ls56tnffczxleq2yash4hzl3

I’m guessing I probably shouldn’t search that name on my work laptop, right? 🤣🤣

You can set an expiration time for an invoice (this is with Zeus but I’m sure some other wallets have the same functionality). I’m not sure what the maximum is but it has an option for weeks. You could then screenshot the QR code to print. I’m sure there is probably a better way of doing it though.

Lunch time walk 🌞🌊

Breakfast today. Poached eggs and bacon with sourdough toast. All local produce.

Got some new coffee beans to try today. This is a halloween special release from a local coffee roaster here in South Australia with beans from Costa Rica.

I wouldn’t try them myself but go ahead and try some and then post a review here! 🤣

I probably should have ignored that instead of clicking on it while at work.. 🤣🤣🤣
