Yeah it was a bit expensive. I don’t eat pizza too often but that one was pretty good!

Pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza but meat and eggs do.

I bought some at around $89k a couple of days ago as I wanted to pay my nostr.build subscription without touching my stack. It does take a shift in mindset to realise this is now what we will be paying.

My Nostr Bingo card isn’t going so well… nostr:note1j8qea8lk0v4drzpv7dgk9hgy2jg43gvm97yuyztls0wv3jr0ntkqtu9pw4

I watched this today. This was a great discussion and it was good to hear it from an Australia perspective where I do think, despite some issues, our hybrid public/private system generally works pretty well (at least from my experiences with it).

https://chachi.chat seems to work well as a simple web based group chat client for #nostr. It was easy to log in using Orion Browser on iOS with the nos2x-fox extension and join a group. The group chats joined are also then visible in the 0xChat app which is nice.

I was almost supportive of this ban right at the start of the video when it was suggested that there could never be another Greta Thunberg again! šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Seriously though, he is completely out of touch with modern reality. It is irrelevant what he did maybe 30 years ago, things have moved on since then. While I think connecting with people in person is important, I’ve also made some amazing connections online. Some of those may always remain online and anonymous, others I may one day meet in real life. Either way they are still real people and valuable relationships.

It sounds like the misinformation/disinformation bill could get blocked so hopefully this may go the same way.

I think there are a lot of parents supportive of this though because it seems like an easy way out from having to enforce restrictions on their kids themselves, and they don’t really see the bigger issues with age & id verification on social media..

Of course, but some sort of media is where most people get their information from. So you either end up with people following the mainstream narrative and thinking we are all going to die by 2030 if they don’t go out now and buy an electric car or those who have seen something on alternative media or an influencer on X and they think it is all a hoax and we need to burn more coal for cheaper power. There is very little balanced discussion about it and most people aren’t going to go back to read scientific publications, consider new information and think logically..

Even climate change is an interesting one. While I don’t completely deny that it is a real thing, I think there are still certain aspects that aren’t as well understood as they could be, and there are a lot of deliberately alarmist predictions that won’t come true but make for good stories for the media to publish. Also I think some of the government policies supposedly for ā€œclimate changeā€ are in part being driven by other agendas as well.

I think there are elements of truth in some conspiracy theories but some people take them to the extreme.

I got an invite for it in the early days but never bothered trying it and I still have no interest in it.
