Interested in politics, economics, Bitcoin and trying to monitor the increasing government overreach. #Democracy #Freedom

That's so true. I read Atlas Shrugged and the Friedman followed by Hayek. I'm becoming very critical of socialism, somehow thanks to Bitcoin. It changes our perspective.

What's that old joke?

Heaven is where the police are British, the lovers French, the mechanics German, the chefs Italian, and it is all organized by the Swiss.

Hell is where the police are German, the lovers Swiss, the mechanics French, the chefs British, and it is all organized by the Italians.

How do you explain XMR performing so poorly against BTC since february 2018? When Satoshi stopped communicating, he said he was leaving for some other project. Does anyone know which one? I haven't read much about this.

Millionaires are fleeing communist countries for liberal jurisdictions. When one understands that socialism and communism are just varying degrees of the same ideology and that socialism is characterized by more government, more handouts and therefore more taxation, it seems natural that millionaires want to leave the UK. EU countries are most likely next for net outflows. The EU is turning communist too as it is inexorably centralising power in fewer and fewer hands.

There is much to say about mining. Research the subject if I may, it's quite fascinating. It uses stranded energy better than any other use case and often helps create electricity production plants where they would't have existed before especially "green" ones like the volcano facilities in El Salvador.

Bitcoin adoption and why so many of us ignored it early on.

Here is the face of socialism. The answer is liberalism, whose motives are not profits but freedom.

Hayek's main argument in "The road to serfdom" is that socialism invariably leads to fascism or communism, which are very closely related. He highlights how socialists in the course of history have been prone to become either communists or fascists and that these two factions are fighting for the same supporters whilst they know they can't win the liberal mind.
