This is a story I wrote about our cats. Based loosely on a true story. Hope you enjoy!
In a quiet neighborhood close to the country, a family once had two beloved cats: Kit Kat, a timid brown and black feline, and White Cat, an adventurous and outgoing all-white beauty. Despite their differences, they formed an inseparable bond, with White Cat coaxing Kit Kat out of her anxiety-ridden shell.
One ominous fall, the family introduced a new addition named Milli, a stunning kitten with long, fuzzy fur. However, Milli's arrival stirred jealousy within White Cat. She desperately sought the affection of her family, feeling overshadowed by the charming newcomer. Ignored and isolated, White Cat's heart grew heavy, and she began wandering farther away from home, venturing into dangerous territory where foxes and coyotes lurked. Kit Kat, though anxious, accompanied her, attempting to keep her safe.
One fateful night, as darkness descended, White Cat led Kit Kat to a long, eerie drainage pipe. Despite Kit Kat's unease, White Cat was determined to explore its depths. Reluctantly, Kit Kat followed. Inside, they stumbled upon two cunning foxes lying in wait. Tragedy struck as White Cat was viciously attacked and killed. Kit Kat managed to flee back home, haunted by the images of her dear friend's demise.
Weeks passed, and Kit Kat's world crumbled. She became a shell of her former self, tormented by grief and fear. The once composed cat now meowed restlessly, plagued by the nightmarish memories. The family sought medical help, but the vet found nothing physically wrong with Kit Kat. The true pain was buried deep within her heart.
Unable to articulate her emotions, Kit Kat's mind concocted a narrative to explain the tragedy. She couldn't fathom blaming the family, so she directed her anguish towards Milli, the adorable intruder who had seemingly stolen White Cat's place in their hearts.
One moonlit night, Kit Kat and Milli found themselves on the back porch. A sinister thought took root in Kit Kat's distraught mind. She lured Milli outside and led her down the street, further and further towards the treacherous fields. Finally arriving at the dreaded drainage pipe, Kit Kat whispered to Milli of the abundance of mice that awaited them inside. Deceived by Kit Kat's promises, Milli ventured in. Kit Kat listened helplessly as the foxes tore Milli apart, and when it was over raced back home.
Now, the family is left with only Kit Kat, the traumatized survivor of a haunting sequence of events. An eerie silence blankets the household, as the family wonders what really happened to the two cats they once adored. But Kit Kat's tortured soul knows the truth – the loss of her dear friend White Cat, her undying love, and the sorrow that led to a devastating cycle of heartache and revenge. Now only Kit Kat remains.

The more I read into BIP-300 the more I like it. It seems like the perfect scaling solution for mass adoption. With the added benefits of a simple scaling approach through trustless side chains, increased revenue for bitcoin miners and enabling end-2-end encrypted private transactions.
Look I have nothing against Lightning Network. Zaps are very cool but does it mathematically scale to 8 billion users (Apparently, it does not). Also, 99% of LN users are still using custodial LN wallets despite all the awareness and education hold your own keys. Oboarding users to non-custodial wallets is painful because you have open channels and have custodial ln wallet as backup if transaction fails. Privacy on LN is extremely difficult unless you just HODL your coins and never transact with anyone. BIP-300 Drivechains seem like a simple approach to push for non-custodial wallet mass adoption and bring privacy to bitcoin.

The more people educate themselves on this and talk about #BIP300. The more likely it will be implemented.
The last major upgrade was #Taproot and all that did was create the Ordinals protocol and BRC-20 tokens 😂. If BIP300 was implemented it would be the last change needed to be made to bitcoin.

The institutions are coming. More people will be introduced to Bitcoin. More than we are able to get without the institutions. People will be burned by paper bitcoin. With institutions this is inevitable.
More people will take their bitcoin into self custody.
