https://ordinals.com is getting spammed or attacked. Some call this just a barrage of valid packets. 😂

The poetry in poetic justice is poeting like a mfer.

You ever fear going to sleep thinking you'll wake up in a double leg cramp hell, both legs doing their best impression of Arby's curly fries?

A call to crypto flippers

Whether or not there is another “alt season”, I invite all you crypto aficionados to redirect your life’s energy, up to now invested in feeding this addiction to coin flipping/“invoosting”, towards cleaning up your act instead. Come join us on the bitcoin front—we have a lot to give, yes, but we need you, too.

You see we’re approaching a battle of the ages here. One that will likely involve bank runs, devaluations, and wars in the West. A conflict whose outcomes will certainly impact the lives of our children and many generations after. And for that years’ long struggle our world needs all the help it can get.

I have a lot of sympathy for people suffering from behavioral addictions and general lack of impulse control—I struggle with this still myself. In fact I believe addiction is the dominant challenge of our current era, co-created by the fiat system which drastically reduces the rewards people can earn from deferral of gratification and a virtuous life in general.

But this is not the place to get in the intellectual weeds.

I’m just here to send you, to the best of my ability, a warm invitation to try and clean up your life. I’m here to remind you that the world is worth it, and to valiantly assure you that you are worth it.

So get yourself to a meeting (yes the one you’ve been telling yourself you don’t need), pick up that book you bookmarked a while ago, ask someone for advice or support, cue up that meditation podcast, walk a dog, go on a walk in nature, or take a cold shower for 30 seconds. I suggest beginning small, so small that you can take that first step right now.

We’re all going to die one day. You know it, and deep down you also know what kind of life will make you feel proud to have lived. Sure, you can keep trying to get that chuckle out of other degen traders, and get on a little buzz by setting up that 10x leveraged play, but deep down you know that is just a poor surrogate for making a real connection with yourself and the rest of this world.

Here is the good news: once you start walking the path towards the good life (not as in hedonism but as in doing the right thing), you will, little by little, start noticing that you are in fact not alone, that in fact we are all in this together. You’ll start developing friendships and rekindling old ones that you’d forgotten you lost. And, paradoxically, as you slowly face your fears of “not having enough” head on, you’ll realize you already have so much to be grateful for, and you’ll start to feel happier than you’ve ever been.

Help yourself, you’re worth it! Under that thin cynical veneer, a truly beautiful person resides. That person knows in his bones that this little planet, with all its male and female silliness, with its songs of pain and sorrow, this blue-green-orange place teeming with life, is surely worth it too. Your possible reaction to this paragraph, that “meh…” or eye rolling part of you, that’s not all of you, that’s not who you are deep down. There is wonder in you, and joy, and a thirst for worthwhile adventure. If you can’t feel it, it doesn’t mean the sun isn’t there for you, but just that there’s clouds hanging out in your sky. An ominous sky makes place for a cheerful one, over time but inevitably, once one starts walking the path of the good life.

So join us my friend. Join us bitcoiners in the fight to defend life and liberty on earth. Lord of the Rings is real, and we are the Hobbits: weak physically, sure, but possessing a unique power to save the world of man. Time to leave the Shire!

I kept thinking about Jason Williams while reading this for some reason...

It's a rare condition in this day and age... to read any good news on a newspaper page. Love and tradition of a grand design some people say is even harder to find.

This isn't a win for Biden. It's a win for at least some of those he's pardoning.

It's a low hanging fruit greedy grab for votes.

Will signing devices or security keys ever become a thing for using with Nostr, at least optionally? What is best practice for storing nsec?

"Those serious about security should use Linux (and preferably a hardened distro at that). It should also be stressed that no mobile OS can be considered in the slightest bit secure."

I wonder if he includes GrapheneOS in that. Also, which Linux distros would be ideal?

I was watching a video on Ableton and the guy was high on on it for its application for guitarists but he was saying it was lacking in drummer options.

Is it a common thing to switch between different DAWs depending on what you need? Are there software incompatibility issues that would be an issue? Or is it just better to find one that suits all or most of your needs and stick with that?

Also, I have zero experience with a MIDI controller but I want to be able to experiment and add other sounds other than just guitar, bass, & drums. Is the Ableton Push the way to go or are there are comparable MIDIs I should look at?

I can't count how many times I make use of the backspace key in a day.

Look into GrapheneOS, iodeOS, /e/ foundation device or here's a quick guide to degooglize any ROM (taken from xda a whilr back).

"Note: This won't be too noob-friendly, so do your research before following this. If your phone catches fire, nothing I can do!

Also I'll be referring to LineageOS for microG as LMM throughout the guide

Safetynet also currently seems to be broken

Pre-requisites before using this guide:

- A phone ready for custom ROM'ing (unlocked bootloader, custom recovery installed yada yada)

- A user willing to sacrifice 90% Google apps (microG still has it's limitations you know)

- PC with everything ready (just to make the process smooth)

- TWRP backup of your previous ROM (just in case something goes wrong)

Let's begin!

Stage 1: Check and download

1) Check if your phone has official support for LineageOS for microG

2) If it's there; congratulations! Your life has been made 50% easier.

If it isn't, well, you'll have to check if you have official/unofficial ROM support for the standard LineageOS.

If that isn't there, you'll have to go with any other deODEX'd ROM (which means your results may vary compared to the one here)

3) Download the respective ROM zips, Magisk (for root) and Aurora Store.

If you're not downloading LMM, download NanoDroid Patcher (signature spoofing), NanoDroid microG (the microG package)

[Fun fact: If you're using the latest version of Magisk (which you should), rename the APK to "install.zip" to be able to flash it in recovery]

4) Copy the downloaded media to your SD Card (Internal Storage works too)

Stage 2 Option 1: If you have LMM support

1) Boot to TWRP or your TWRP fork of choice

2) Go to Wipe; Advanced Wipe; Tick System, Data, Cache, Dalvik and swipe # This will format your ROM + your app data

3) Go back; Install; Search for the Lineage zip.

4) Flash it.

5) Then flash Magisk and reboot.

Stage 2 Option 2: If you don't have LMM support

1) Boot to TWRP or your TWRP fork of choice

2) Go to Wipe; Advanced Wipe; Tick System, Data, Cache, Dalvik and swipe # This will format your ROM + your app data

3) Flash LineageOS / your ROM

4) Reboot your system

5) Do the initial setup

-> Check if you have Signature Spoofing support by installing this

-> If there's no Signature Spoofing support:

-> Boot to TWRP

-> Flash NanoDroid Patcher to patch your system

-> Flash NanoDroid microG and Magisk

-> Reboot your system

-> If there is Signature Spoofing support:

-> Boot to TWRP

-> Only flash NanoDroid microG and Magisk

-> Reboot your system

Stage 3: Post-Installation

1) Open microG settings app. Press Self-Check

2) Make sure no checkboxes are unticked. If they are, tick them

3) Go back; Add an account, do Device Registration and enable Cloud Messaging.

Also configure the location backends if you need location

4) microG setup should be done!

5) Now install Aurora Store, and configure it. (should be simple enough)

6) Grab yourself a good VPN and a nice wallpaper

[-] That's it!"
