They wouldn't be able to name a single US Senator or US President that would present a challenging exercise here.

Also, radical isn't the same as "emotional", that's so dismissive and reactionary in the most banal and tepid sense of the latter term. We should be brutally honest about what kind of people we are dealing with.

(Yes, there are an awfully lot of people who operate on the local level who are also technically called "politicians" and about whom it's slightly harder to generalize without stretching the truth, but they're not the topic of conversation)
