Nostr goes against traditional networks. Im sitting here thinking that nostr might never be mainstream. Its decentralized and cant scam.. what company traditional company wants to be transparent and use bitcoin and give power to the ppl. Ill wait Coca-Cola haha walmart target i dont see any major company coming to nostr.

A standardized signups component could help apps that put low effort on this step, but I don't know how is possible without a webview.

However this could not be a rule, it would kill creativity and personalization on new solutions.

An onboarding app with a good educational support can work well for non tech users. And it implicitly and practically shows the concept of an open ecosystem. A lot of users are fashinated when they see they can move from app to app with the same account, having a continuous experience.

We need a native, cross-platform micro-app that offers account creation (nsec generation), teaches best practices on key security, allows profile (metadata) management, and perhaps permits historical backup of metadata and contact list.

Just that.

The content should be the context, primary.

But I agree that it can be improved, at least to trigger some curiosity in the user.

Maybe the top-left "What is Nostr" is too conceptually distant for newcomers, we can add something like

"Do you know that what you are reading is on Nostr, a decentralized network? Read more"

that when clicked briefly explain the background context (this stuff is a note on Nostr, that can be viewed choosing from different apps, blabla, read more about the nostr protocol here).

This picture is Nostr as it is now in a rap, 90% male builders, ostrich pictures, Over branded products, bitcoin banter, security vault experts.

To receive zaps on nostr you need the email address version of lightning network and not all self custody lightning wallets provide that.. Zeus does but they really expensive
