New theory: they’re deliberately running down the US power grid so that they can use the side effects as an excuse to get rid of it. After which you will have to eat bugs, which need neither refrigeration nor cooking.

I took him to the dog field naked yesterday, and when we were on the moors this morning I took his boot off (put it back on for the road). I’m being careful with the nail, because it’s not quite grown out nicely in the worst side, but I am more worried about the rubbing now: I think once I get that cleared up we might be finished with it.
I would have quite liked to be a fly on the wall a few months ago when Favourite Niece and her mum started on him about it. Apparently he was flailing mightily.
