you can use several clients ! Some might have features that others don't and you might want to have ! No need to go back on twitter !

well, technically, yes, but once there are enough nodes, no one can realistically block all of them πŸ€”

and then, there's also the possibility to have proxies that would not be independent nodes but rather gateways to re-route the traffic back to nodes

Good morning Nostr 🌞

Finally moved my #Bitcoins on my #selfcustody wallet πŸ₯³ Took me some time to feel comfortable doing so, especially since I don't have a lot but it's finally done βœ…

Yeah but... Where's the fun if you proofread everthif?

And there's NOTHING they can do about this 😝

For the problems of knowing who DMs who, the NIP-42 could possibly solve this. It would however require its impementation being mandatory for a relay, and require a user to be authenticated towards said relay in order for it to send the DMs back though.

And for the wallet that gets hacked, I'd say... Don't use a client that doesn't support an extension to handle the keys (not sure though) ?

Or a signer app (Again, not sure if that's the intended purpose, nor if they are widely supported πŸ˜…)

I crated a wallet on nostr:npub1hcwcj72tlyk7thtyc8nq763vwrq5p2avnyeyrrlwxrzuvdl7j3usj4h9rq earlier today. I chose that one, as it doesn't ask for account creation to have a basic wallet (At least from my understanding). I'm not sure if I need to do anything more than just giving my address on my Nostr account in order to be able to send zaps (Though I do hope so xD) but hey, I'll discover that later on πŸ€”

I hope it ! Joined two weeks ago, I find it amazing (even though I don't often post). I hope it's not just a hype and fall back down :D
