Great advice, but most people I know don’t want to learn about Bitcoin. I’ve tried to get many smart people I know to learn about Bitcoin but it’s too low on their priority list since they don’t see/understand the upcoming fiat debacle on the horizon. They say I’m just crying wolf and, thus, there is no compelling reason to them leave fiat behind.
No, it’s not a better Bitcoin. It’s a way to use Bitcoin. Any layer on top of Bitcoin is a way to use Bitcoin. It’s a payment system that trades off trustlessness for speed of settlement.

There’s a difference between nodes and miners. Nodes don’t participate in the mining process, only the verification process. They don’t have any hash power.
