The crusades were not some oppressive act of Christians against everybody else. Rather, they were a response to the far more widescale Muslim crusades, and were necessary to preserve the Christian way of life, and to avoid the enslavement of the Christian people.

If you're trying to say that Christendom was great during the Crusades, you have some cognitive dissonance to get out of your system.

Crusades are in direct conflict with Christ's teaching to "love your neighbor".

Glorifying Crusaders is high hypocrisy.

If you want to make Christendom great again, that's going to require that individual Christians get over their attachments and go explore every religion looking for the connections that are common to them.

That's not likely to happen though because most people operate from their ego, not from their hearts.
