So, I saw a bitcoin atm in Genoa (Italy). Was sooo excited, especially as I was with my btc skeptical wife.
My experience? A f’ing disaster. Italy requires AML/KYC for a €50 exchange for btc… WTF?!
Needless to say I didn’t proceed … and, yes, reached out & insulted the company behind this horseshit.

Today, people buy electricity for a basic use case - powering our homes, EVs, smart phones, etc.
Tomorrow, people will invest in “electricity tokens” as they will be the feedstock for AI compute. Kind of like we invest in TSLA today for exposure to AI & robotics.
The electricity industry: from a boring sector (even during Enron times!) to the basic building blocks of all things digital.
Who could have guessed THAT 20 years ago?

Tokenising real world assets (RWAs) - enables trades 24/7/365, settles in seconds on a blockchain and fractionalised ownership allowed. And in some cases, no KYC required.
Compare this will 9:30am to 4pm trading times (😂) & a few days to settle. Laughable.
Tokenising RWA may just undermine I banks similar to how the crypto sector may make commercial banks irrelevant.
We do indeed live in interesting times. And we, the retail sector, benefit more than the entrenched interests.
