When I was a corporate normie who wore cologne, I would dread waking up each morning.

But it "paid well" and I had "job security" and it was "respectable".

But I had to quit. It was destroying my soul.

10 years later, I'm so pumped to get to work every single day.

It makes a huge difference for well-being when you feel like your work actually matters.

PSA to new nostr users and new bitcoiners

Only keep a small amount of value in wallets like Alby or Wallet of Satoshi.

They are fantastic onboarding tools, but they own the keys to “your” Bitcoin, so never store more on these apps than you’re willing to lose.

Fiat Analogy: Pocket change.

Non-custodial solutions like a Phoenix, Breez, and Muun are nice options. Still, don’t put your life savings in these, as they are “hot” (internet-connected) wallets.

Fiat Analogy: checking account with a debit card that could be stolen.

For large amounts of value, use a hardware signing device like ColdCard, BitBox, or Jade.

I will continue recommending WoS and Alby as extremely useful and convenient entry points. Because they are.

But as with almost every single “divisive” issue, the real answer is nuanced and a contextual scale is warranted.
