They are busy handing over KYC info to Twitter and biometric data to worldcoin π€‘

Congratulations on your first open source PR!
I run OPNsense (forked from pfSense in ~2015) on a few machines and it has also been rock solid, open source rocks π€
It replaced dropbox for me, works great. I keep it behind a VPN so I'm not completely fucked if some 0-day comes out. Using it from Linux and Android clients
Check out /r/homelab - careful tough, that shit is addictive πΈ
Small form factor PCs, like the Lenovo Thinkcentre tiny, work well for smaller projects and they are low noise and power consumption. HP and Dell make similar sized boxes.
To get your number downprioritized in the scam call centers systems try pretending to not speak English when they call
I went from a few calls a week to one every 2-3 months by doing this.
Scammers want to make money and they can't do that if they think they can't communicate with you.

What it's like working with #programming

He was going to do a rolling iceberg order of all his BTC on exchanges, but it was cancelled because all the hot air coming from CSW melted the icebergs π€‘

That is so disgusting, I love it... I'll try it in my next pull request just to see if the reviewer will notice

Either most people are not aware of privacy issues or they simply don't care (until it's too late).
I've got a few German friends (from the former East German prison state) who either shy away from social media or at least use fake names/birthdays/etc, prefer cash and limit their use of "smart" devices. They say it's ingrained in their culture due to the Stasi that existed until 1990.
Another type of scary "smart" device are internet connected TVs. Many models have built in microphones and their T&C even state that they send audio recordings to third parties. Most smart TVs don't get software updates for very long, so they are only going to get easier to hack into over time.
Bitcoiners/shitcoiners in my city have sometimes been targeted with violent assaults to relieve them of their holdings. Would never advertise to the public that I have valuables to steal.
When I go to meetups it's under a throw away email and using a different name.
If someone who is ready to use violence targets you, maybe he won't believe you when you say you've sent him everything and will just keep bashing you with a hammer.
Sats always. The same with other amounts, unexpected money goes in the DCA "fund" anyway.
Gave my nieces and nephews small gold coins for their birthdays when they were toddlers and #bitcoin now that they are older.
I told them I'd pay them market price any time they wanted to spend the gold or bitcoin on something.
So far nobody has taken me up on the offer, but they mostly spend the cash they get from other family members for their birthdays within days of receiving it.
