Any self-hosted solutions for sharing files behind a LN-enabled paywall? As in, pay to download.

I don't know if you're joking or not, but 800 sats are today ~50cents.

I won't spend more than 20 minutes working on retrieving them...

I tried (by paying an LN invoice) but the sats got stuck, unavailable in cashu and invoice never paid.

Doesn't matter much though, it was 800 sats.

As far as I understand, there are some heuristics they rely on. Keep in mind, the on-chain fees keep changing over time.

A 10k channel with 7k fees would result in 3k usable liquidity. What if you need to close the channel? You don't have another 7k available.

I think the 100k is just a safe amount to use considering the current mempool state. And to avoid newbies losing all their money to fees because they didn't know better...

Fyi, I'm not affiliated with Mutiny, this is just my view. I hope they can explain it better.

nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx sent me a generous zap during my first week on Nostr and I decided to try to send it all out by zapping 42 sats every time I saw a post that made me smile or made me think. I've probably worked my way through that first chunk of sats by now but the habit has remained.

I love zapping!

The waiter said they're out of toothpicks... I told him I'd like toothpick to the manager.

Is this supposed to mean "Do you know what the date is?"?

And if an AI learns from nostr (like unleashed.chat), did I just teach it the answer (if correct)?

I really like Aqua's way of handling lightning. It reminds me of Muun, but the use of Liquid instead of main-chain makes it more affordable.

However, I don't see it as a (hot) spending wallet.

Liquid->LN costs too much for the coffee use case. A 4100 sat invoice (2€) requires ~400 sats in fees (0.2€). That's 10%.

However, it's a great stacking warm wallet, while a custodial well-connected LSP (WoS, or a good mint) can be the spending wallet.

Nostr fixes this.

Stablesats is pegged to usd but is not actually connected to the system, as far as I know. At least not like stablecoins are.

Of course it carries its own risks, and I agree they should not be hidden!

What if they can't shut it down?

It's not connected to the fiat system.

Something like stablesats maybe.
