Are there any particular filters that are not yet widely supported by relays?

I don’t know enough about it but having the outbound calls as a paid-feature will not make it popular in the consumer market.

Composability is good feature. Lots of existing use cases that are silos at this point. E.g. imdb for movies, goodreads for books etc.

Some are standardised and probably all of them have some sort of OG url source around which things can be composed of.

RSS is good also for podcasts and other decantralised web purposes where it was originally created for but got sidetracked by web 2.0 centralisation.

In Romero’s article you can replace the blockchain with Nostr notes. And his solution was to use blockchain (with Farcaster which is a decent implementation) but the premise is valid. How to build a new social network and to gain traction with existing services, protocols and technologies.

Rinse and repeat:

1. Make something decent looking

2. Realize you have to add a bunch more stuff to it

3. Re-do the whole thing accommodating that other stuff

4. Realize it's getting ugly

5. Try to make it nice again

6. Realize there's a lot more stuff to add

7. Try to add that stuff without butchering the overall design system

I don’t know. I did not dare to share mine. Just created a new account.

“startups in the region are raising less at each stage of funding from Seed through to Series C (and beyond), with later stage and larger companies feeling a particular pinch: just 7 “unicorns”…compared to 48 in 2022 and 108 in 2021.”
