Was just thinking this today. But the name is more obvious: hugball.
Nostr challenge: find an up-to-date article that explains Nostr for someone who knows nothing about it and wants to know what it is (and uses Bluesky/Instagram/Facebook currently).
But without any BTC, protocol, free speech, censorship resistance etc. stuff. Just like you would explain Snapchat or similar product.
I could not find any with a quick googling. Nor I found any get started guide that was not filled with protocol etc talk.
Nostr. com, nost.how are all about tech. News coverage is mainly from last year and from those topical angles.

âIf a web browser sucked out all information from web pages without users needing to actually visit them, why would anyone bother making websites in the first place?â
âWhen a touch, or even reasonably loud ambient noise, flexes the display panel, it will also flex the transducer, generating a voltage. This electrical signal could be harvested to charge the deviceâs battery, providing a level of energy harvesting that might prolong the time between charges.â
âIt took nearly a year for Solana to sell out 20,000 units of its first crypto phone. But the second phone has hit 100,000 pre-orders in just over a month.â
Bsky is weird.
A âblocked postâ was the parent skeet that I did not see but the replies to it were visible.
The account I used did not have anyone blocking it nor was it part of any blocking list. Was the post / user blocked by the Bluesky instance?
This feature is for all you luddites who want to post first to X.
Now you can get that out of your system without leaving the app and the next second get to the real deal.
Apple is slow to review betas on Testflight so you just have to sit on your hands and stop staring at the laser-eyes tweet for now.
What does it take for that to happen?
"It is a mistake to believe that the war can be won quickly. Russia is preparing for a long period of war. The war will continue until Russia realizes that it cannot win."

âThe advantages are that Ukrainian units get new soldiers who already have more training than Ukrainian recruits have time for. "These guys are battle-hardened, they know how to function out there in the trenches, but they're civilians who became soldiers out of necessity, they're not trained army men. The average Ukrainian soldier doesn't get much training time."
Finland had last year (active montly users; population of 5,54m):

TT is trusted more as a news source than X
âThat puts a much greater emphasis on using heavy firepower to strike deep behind Russian lines to wear down the attacking force and break up its command and logistics. In short: heavy bombardment of Russian soil. âWestern political leaders,â he warns, âmay be squeamish about such attacks.â

Words are easier to handle and also store. Itâs harder to hide nsec string and claim itâs something else. Also harder to memorise or type by hand.
Npub and words are also different formats so accidental pasting of nsec instead of npub should disappear.
Anyone has managed to get to the beta test yet? https://github.com/uninbox/UnInbox
Taking your time to do things the right way (and good enough) at once gives you speed in the long term.
Fixing bugs and rewriting something thatâs not working slows you down and adds to the dev debt (& complexity).
Slow is fast!
