You don’t have to enable OnlyZaps. Its optional. There are plenty of people on the network who still like likes.

I find it bizarre to get upset at someone because they don’t want to receive likes 🤔

Maybe its a false perception that that person is doing it to get more zaps? Zaps are not a like replacement. Reposts and comments are.

I’m proposing to my local Bitcoin meetup that we get booths at local farmers markets.

1. Trojan horse as bitcoin merch and crafts sales

2. Give out free cookies to people but have to use Wallet of Satoshi app and transact. (We would send them the sats)

3. Talk to customers about bitcoin

4. Talk to vendors about accepting bitcoin.

5. Promote our local meetup.

What am I missing? Any experienced plebs out there thinking outside the box like this?

that’s definitely a possibility (and may be the current norm) but it largely comes down to an individual’s ability to focus, i’d say the internet is ultimately a net positive

Definition of money. "Money serves three basic functions: it is a medium of exchange, a unit of account, and a store of value" Bitcoin has not proven to be any of these things after 13 years, despite the hopium. There are many alternatives which claim to offer "freedom money" None have succeeded so far

you should look into the *history* of money, and what it takes to establish a currency that hits all 3 of those targets.

#Bitcoin has proven its capability of being a store of value and unit of account on the core layer, and has achieved the early stages of Visa scalability (Fiat L2) through Lightning which will allow the *final* step which is becoming a medium of exchange.

I urge you to do some more open minded research because #Bitcoin *is* succeeding, or at bare minimum offer a better alternative🍻
