Running Apollo

Free open source health protocol

A simple set of principles that our family applies to keep our lower bodies healthy

1) Low time preference

2) Reduce unnatural inputs

3) Increase natural inputs

Better behavioural software = better health. Simple but not always easy

Heteronychus arator

Common names: African black beetle or black lawn beetle

One of our friendly local residents and part of our bio diverse insect roster that helps us create healthy soil

2 cool things:

1) Family project: Open source our health cheat codes

Why?

If even a single person on earth benefits from us sharing our way of life, it’s worth the effort

2) Next research adventure: 5 months of circadian living to charge up our health and experience life on a #bitcoin standard

Caribou attribute #1: Endurance

Each year, Caribou migrate hundreds and sometimes thousands of kilometres

They can run up to 112 km/hr and are also strong swimmers, capable of crossing rough currents in arctic rivers

Their ability to thrive in sub zero temperatures and their resilience makes them symbols of strength and endurance

Regenerative farming isn’t easy

Long term success requires patience, attention and the ability to endure many unpleasant or difficult challenges without giving way

Nature will constantly test us to ensure we’re paying attention and creating in alignment with the whole

As a family, we aspire to embody the endurance of the Caribou to face the challenges with courage, grace and perseverance

[849684]

Our family believes that being healthy and strong is heroic

We believe the price of freedom is responsibility

When the state is taking half of your earnings and misallocating those resources, farming is a compelling peaceful opt out

DILL

An annual herb from the celery family and an essential element to great pickles

Can be grown in almost any soil as long as it’s well drained

Needs sun but must not be allowed to dry out

Sow seeds successionally through spring and summer for a continuous supply

Thin the plants to 25 cm in rows 30 cm apart

If they are kept well watered, the plants will grow fast and produce lots of leaves before flowering

Inadequate watering will cause dill to flower before the leaves are fully grown

Start cutting leaves when the plant is 20 cm tall. Best time to cut for drying is just before the plant flowers

GARLIC

The edible bulb that can be added to almost any dish

A Southern European plant that grows well in cooler regions

Requires rich soil with plenty of manure or compost and plenty of sun to grow optimally

Plant in fall by picking off individual cloves from a bulb and planting them in a hole deep enough to leave the top end just covered with soil

Plant 10 cm apart in a deep bed

Keep the cloves weeded and don’t give them too much water

When harvesting, fork the garlic out of the ground when the stems dry up and dry them out in the sun for a few days or under cover where rain won’t reach them

Drying is essential if you want to store garlic. Tie the heads into bunches and hang them in a dry, cool place with good airflow

Use them as needed and remember to keep some to plant the following year 🤘🏽

PEARS

This delicious fruit grows well in heavy soil that is well drained

Pears are fussier and require more care than apples but we think they are worth the extra effort

Fireblight, leaf blister mite and phytophtora rot can all affect pears

Best to pick pears a little before they are completely ripe, as soon as they come off the tree easily when you lift them away

Store like apples as close to -1 degree celcius as possible

Before eating, bring to room temperature and wait for them to ripen

Eat when they are slightly soft

Our family farm is powered by Bitcoin and the spirit energy of Caribou

7 symbolic attributes of Caribou:

1. Endurance

2. Regeneration

3. Vision

4. Majesty

5. Travel

6. Friends & Family

7. Life Force

As our family develops deeper understanding and meaning of these attributes we will share thoughts here with our nostr fam

We also decided to open source all of our soil research and farming techniques which will be shared as nostr notes and added to a GitHub repo ✊🏽

Oh and from now on we will blockstamp each note

If you enjoy our content, please zap us to support our family 🫶🏽

Our main barn will be heated by a large wood fireplace and ASICS so we can grow food year round even during harsh winters

We will craft all natural jerky dried with with excess ASIC heat

#Bitcoin is allowing our family to regenerate the soil health on our land which improves our ability to grow nutrient dense food

Thank you Satoshi ❤️
