For sure. The way to go right now unless you're running a lightning node. In that case, an old lenovo laptop is great thanks to having a built in battery for protection during power outages.
They provide on-chain privacy via Whirlpool regardless of whether or not they have your xpub. If you think Samourai will collaborate with someone to demix and doxx you, run your own node and don't give them your xpubs.
They've made their position on this very clear (even talked about in a recent pod) - SW have considered forcing users to run their own node, but that would make their on-chain privacy tools unavailable for those who are not able to run their own node. So they opt to provide that as an option for users.
The reason they use xpubs is to make the wallet as light as possible on the client side so that it can perform well on the go, even when using a mobile connection and Tor.
Would be interesting if relays started using POW as spam deterrance mechanism as an alternative to paying sats. Or even in addition to charging sats.
Pi is currently at 95.3%, while the Proxmox container on old hardware is at 61%. My prediction looking good so far.

What are the current reasons to post POW notes? Are there any relays that only accept POW notes?
Appears to be the case. Definitely a feature I'd like to see come to gossip. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any standard way of doing this at the moment.
