Our team is known to have launched the first #BitcoinATM in Vietnam back in the summer of 2016, the machine is still operating as is (albeit the original location slightly moved).

You can still buy Bitcoin from it after all those years :-)

Initially, we operated (and are still operating) a line of Bitcoin ATMs by the Canadian firm Bitaccess, one of the first providers in the market besides Lamassu (still successful to this day) and Robocoin (since then out of business).

However, as time went by it become clear to us that are more localized product was needed and hence we went in late 2019 on a project which... took - partially thanks to the lockdown years from 2020-2022 - far longer than originally anticipated.

Lesson here:

Do not go into the hardware business without sufficient capital backing and a long enough runway in terms of time.

It will always take longer than anticipated to bring something to market :-)

However, after years of trials and tribulations, and a significant investment of time, capital, and brain cells, we were able in the summer of 2024 to bring our own line of ATMs to the market, built with all the expertise we have gained from operating Bitcoin ATMs over the past 8 years.

We are currently in the process to deploy our initial batch of machines in- and around #Saigon.
