I've got a basic bitch Bitcoin core node on an old laptop, using Sparrow and my hardware device.

But I keep running into problems trying to set up a second with Umbrel on the raspi but just haven't had enough time to reflash everything and try again.

Maybe some co op will give me the incentive.

My friend I've been orange pilling the last couple months has perhaps a better understanding of servers and raspbery pi than me, even if not by a lot. After talks yesterday, we are planning on eventually setting up a node together.

Perhaps two brains are better than one in this situation.

He's still got to stop saying "crypto", but we are working on it 😂

The only major issue I have with the Federal Reserve these days is its actions in 2021.

It felt as though they were standing on the shoulders of their predecessors to fulfill the task of printing dollars as fast as they could during covid.

They didn't acquire any discipline to print dollars. They didn’t take any responsibility for it.

And now, I witness the aftermath in downtown Austin, where our community bears the brunt of this.

It pains me to use generalizations, but it is even more agonizing to watch this unfold in real time.

Austin is my home.

I believe most bitcoiners were born to build a better future this decade for themselves, their families and their communities.

Who would I personally be if I did not try to help save it from itself back in 2021?

By definition innovation comes before people are ready for it. This is true of any new idea, to a degree.

From air fryers to air conditioners to air travel, it takes time for innovations to spread and get insinuated into the economy.

What’s different about Bitcoin is the delusional resistance to facts and rationality that some Bitcoiners exhibit. They act like socialists, members of a cult and people who want to keep Bitcoin small so that their prominence remains high.

Thankfully it only takes a small number of “crazy” people to get big things done bigly.
