My wife's latest creation in her favorite place; on Brigantine Beach.

So imagine a 56 year old man who hadn't coded since COBOL and RPG, and maybe a little basic on a TRS-80. So say this guy wanted to learn modern coding, and things that might help him understand and interface with things like Lightening, Strike, Nostr and what ever might be down the line... What would you recommend he look into first? What would be the starting point? Path?
Anny insight recommendations or links are appreciated!

And just like that, there was suddenly something good about Jersey.
2 Q's: I think I understand this to say that CBD reduces the effects of covid? Second, is this specifically in the absence of THC (and that's the only time it gets this effect), or was it simply tested without THC but it may still have the same effect?
The coolest thing you will read today. This is a fascinating story.

Yup, it was. My wife tells me she saw an episode of "The UnXplained with William Shatner"; 'Mysterious Structures' (on Netflix) that had a segment on the Staircase.
LOL, my wife was watching and as they crowned him my grand daughter asked 'what's happening?' and I replied; "that guy got a new hat"! π
Absolutely, but I couldn't find the previous post, thanks for re-sharing!

I couldn't decide between the two 'responses'...
I loved reading this book to my 4 year old grand daughter. I LOVE that today she said 'read me a book' and when I asked 'which one?' she said: "The Bitcoin Book!"
As I read, she asked questions constantly 'what is Trust?' and the like!
I think I myself might need to read more before I read this one to her again!

Really sad to hear of the passing of Gordon Lightfoot. I recall hearing If You Could Read My Mind when I was maybe six years old and getting the sorrow and detachment he was expressing. Loved him ever since.
In Jr High I was in the chorus and we sang Did She Mention My Name. Had no idea for years that was one of his. My grandmother loved it and always asked me to sing it for her. Reminded her of Potter County Pa where she grew up before coming to Delco in the 40s...
I'm really glad to have finally got to see Gordon ten or twelve years back.
Today is the anniversary of the OKC bombing. If you think the story you were told by the media is in anyway the actual story, you really should watch this documentary.

Wow, I knew the official story was bullshit, because well, it always is, but had no idea about most of it.
Well that was exciting!
Happy Samuel Whittemore Day.
nostr:npub15879mltlln6k8jy32k6xvagmtqx3zhsndchcey8gjyectwldk88sq5kv0n recently mentioned 'old paper grocery bags that you'd fold and make book covers out of' or something along those lines. I think it was on the Home to Homestead episode, ep 3289
I remembered this was in my attic. A book that my grandfather covered for me when I was in college in 1990. He was a retired engineer so it was a bit more meticulous than most, but it's a solid example for the young-uns who wondered...
He also recommended placing your name in book on a page you can remember in case your book goes missing.
It's held up pretty well.
