Someone did in the abandoned house. I think a meth worker was turning tricks there judging by somethings I found.
Two sides of the same coin. On the left, the garden plot being redeemed from condemned housing. On the right, formerly abandoned pasture that is being reclaimed for livestock and trees.
Make opportunities, not excuses.

This seems important. nostr:note185mknlym82dmp6efxtfhns4ejukmtdwmrtlecez4ymf64aq39qkqeajl2f
I will allow it.
The lot was scrapped clean as of last night.
I hope to have grass and clover planted by late next week, and the hugoculture beds established throughout July.
I am toying with planting a few species of desert evergreen to compliment the two trees we retained. (It is a felony to kill trees on the desert, or at least it should be)
Phase 1 of the Re-Villagification project is going well. The buildings got dropped yesterday, general cleanup happens for the next couple days, then water hydrants get installed on Monday.
Follow up on the re-village project. Crew dropped the buildings yesterday and is cleaning up the larger pieces today. We are about 20 days behind schedule- I had hoped to have live roots in the ground by June 15 in time for our fog rains. At this latitude, our growing degree days are precious, and in some ways counter intuitive- July heat is hard on fresh plant starts.
One thing that I have observed- people thing in terms of their own finances.
Our SAR unit has a variety of different levels of wealth, and a useful county budget. The poor folks hate spending money out of the budget, because they project their situation onto the SAR budget. They donāt have any money, so they act like no one has any money.
The better off members act surprised that not everyone will buy quality personal gear, or support spending money to build future capability.
This probably is a useful observation for many aspects of life and building.
There are just a few rose hips now, but plenty coming on.
I love watching plants grow over time.
Buds and Blooms. Wild Rose is a neat plant.
Never forget: This was FDRās attitude toward private property.
This Executive Order was never legal, but it stood. nostr:note1wev4qcnt29asjyef9sj6rakdvffn0jtjvqspvkl9574af2d337nq9tnkl8
Robert Ruark wrote insightfully about Africa during the post war years surrounding the various independence movements. Uhuru is an interesting fiction title that looks at both sides of the coin.

#[0]ā What is among the top ten books you have read or scrapped?
I had a nice cup of Charlie Russell blend this morning on the front porch. It hit right- there is nothing better than drinking coffee as the sun comes up in the spring.
Are you saying that a guy could buy 2 peso coins and melt the golden ring for metal value of 12 pesos?
