This is the reason #Mastodon social blocked me from the server and this social media site is doomed if it has this level of reading comprehension. I once again, would not recommend a mastodon migration to anyone who asks.

Is anyone on #nostr and what is your experience?

Fundamentally posting to a website blog or to bluesky or nostr or twitter is the same kind of thing: End users create content and share it with the world.

The reason social media seems to think it needs "blocking" is because a new generation of young authoritarians want to control other people, whereas when websites were invented, people were not so authoritarian.

At least that is what I believe in a nutshell.

It took me so long to realize what the phrase "to have your cake and eat it too" means. Because the idea of having a cake and then eating it is not a luxury.

I always felt like it was the Brits fair and square, but I understood the resentment. Invading the country in 1941 wasn't "fair and square" though, so I can't take anyone's side.

I remember watching a black-and-white newsreel of Brits leaving Persia and being interviewed about it, and the all felt it was not only theft, but they were certain that the Persians did not have the skills or necessary supply lines needed to operate the facilities.

So from 1953 to 1979 Iran was very Westernized, under the leadership installed by the CIA, and then in 1979 the Islamic Revolution changed everything, but not back to the traditional pre-1953 secular monarchy, but into a religious fundamentalist state, something new, different, fun! ;-/

There is a lot of evidence of Israel striking Iran covertly over the years: car bombs planted by motorcycle riders, stuxnet, commando raids of underground facilities, airstrikes in Sudan, airstrikes in Syria, capturing shipments of weapons, etc. There is some overt strikes to - the US striking solemani for example, and of course the strike on the Iran consulate in Damascus that just happened.

The evidence of Iran striking Israel overtly is missing. And covertly it is extremely thin, and all of it could be false flagged even given how thin it is.

Even the evidence of Iran developing nuclear weapons is kinda thin, compared to just doing nuclear power plants.

Of course Iran is supplying Hezbollah/Hamas/Houthis. But maybe they are just weapons salesmen. I don't go attacking the gun shop that sold the gun to the kid that killed my son (that's a made up story for illustration).

I think Iran is probably funding these groups,and assisting these groups, but I'm FAR less certain at this point given that this information comes from the West which I have already concluded are psychopathic sadistic recidivist liars that want war.

I think for most Germans they are just socially cowed into a position of shame and they feel it is socially inappropriate to not support everything having to do with Jews, including Israel.

But some of them might have the attitude you describe. I don't know any of those.
