Once we quiet our mind, we can observe the seer and the seen. We are aware of our mind and the object of concentration. With time and practice, the seer dissolves and all there is to experience is the seen. In yogic philosophy, our souls first manifest as mineral or rock, then evolve into vegetation, then into animals, and finally assume human form. As this evolution occurs there is an acceleration, the process speeds up, light returning to Light. As humans we undertake spiritual practice in order to finish the journey home. In #yoga there is a final, timeless moment in this process, one that has spanned countless lifetimes, and that is what we know as samyama.
