3.5% interest? Inflation is more like 8%. You need to do something with that money or your daughter will have a pile of nothing when she's older.
Yes. The solution is to Buy Bitcoin.
low time preference is life changing.
There are a lot of good banks, actually. Most commercial banks have good intentions, certainly most credit unions do. But they are often forced by regulators to be bad actors. They are literally forced to fractionally reserve, even if they don't want to.
It's the government regulation and the central banks that are the problem. Banks, absent corrupt regulation, are perfectly reasonable institutions that supply credit and charge a premium for it. This is important for growth and development. It's a way of combining capital with innovative people and their ideas.
Banking is not evil. US banking regulation is evil. And central bankers are evil.
A central bank is a bank that lends money to a government at interest. This is predator, immoral, and should be prevented at all costs. This was a fight going back to the revolutionary war in the US, but sadly the good guys lost that fight and now the US government is beholden to a central bank that creates it currency and lends it to the government at interest.
Your local credit union is not a predatory organization, except so much as they are forced to be by the federal government's banking regulations, most of which were lobbied for and written by... wait for it... central bankers.
The minnows are not afraid, they are broke.
Vast majority of people and companies are still completely clueless about #Bitcoin and how it works.
Yes but that's true of almost everything on Earth. Think most people know how a cell phone works? An internal combustion engine? Cellular division? Gravity?
Most people don't understand bitcoin and never will.
It doesn't. But if you want to rule over a population of people keeping them unproductive is helpful. You want them just productive enough to provide you with the things you want, but not productive enough to recognize the situation nor oppose it's institution.
I understood you perfectly, I think you didn't understand me.
yes, exactly. Comparing Litecoin to fiat currency is a good and accurate comparison.
The industry will consolidate into a single protocol, Bitcoin. Litecoin is a dead project, no one accepts it and no one ever will.
I'm waiting for that gap fill at $3500. Cheap sats coming soon!
Bitcoin is effectively free to use on Lightning, which is about a million times cheaper and faster than the insecure Litecoin garbage. Your hashrate can double from one guy plugging in his mining rig because your hashrate is dogshit. Lightning works great.
Face it, you invested your money in some bullshit alt coin and now you're stuck underwater. Your coin is down 98% from it's all time high against Bitcoin because the market has realized it's shit. Wake up more Platinum Bear, Litecoin is a failed project and going to 0. Get out now, while the network is still operational.
Litecoin is a dead project, not enough hashrate to be secure, no lightning network for it, worthless, going to 0.
you just do it anyway and take your chances. They can't put all of us in prison.
if you get prosecuted and convicted of operating without a money transmitter's license, then yes it is. Ask Theresa Lynn Tetley about it.
There is no difference.
i do not accept zaps, although thank you for the thought. Transmitting Bitcoin can be considered a violation of AML laws and people have gone to prison for p2p bitcoin transactions. Would they come after me for a 25 satoshi zap? Probably not, but why take a chance for 25 satoshis? I love the fact that people are using Bitcoin for micropayments on social media, it's great and I hope it continues. But you won't see me doing it.
I would only transact in Bitcoin in an emergency.
I have no idea but yes it'll be more than ever before. That's the nature of compounding interest.
The US has no choice but to print massively in 2025. So yes, the print is coming this year there is no doubt. There are only 3 possible paths in theory:
1. default
2. cut social security and military spending
3. print
Defaulting on the debt is not going to happen because it would immediately remove US treasuries as the principal capital asset globally. No one in a position of control in congress or the treasury or the federal reserve would be willing to preside over a US default on treasuries.
It's politically impossible to cut social security and military spending. Political suicide for anyone who even brought it up as a possibility.
So that leaves us with option 3, debase the currency. It's effectively a default, but it's a slow motion default, which is much more palatable politically and it buys more time for those in power.
So yeah... the print is coming. There might be a giant crash first, or another "pandemic", or someone might set off a Nuke in the Middle East or Eastern Europe... they like to create a massive problem before they turn on the money printer. But one way or another, yes it's coming in 2025.
Understanding Solana is quite simple. It's a proof of stake shitcoin, the end. It's a scam. Proof of stake is not new or novel. The Federal Reserve Banking cartel is a proof of stake system. Save yourself some time and study Bitcoin, not some shitcoin garbage.
