This is why everyone thinks private companies (and capitalism) are the worst that can happen to us. We do not live in a free market

Bitcoin brings #Lasereyes together

One Definition of freedom: „When others cannot prevent us from realizing our own life plans, we are truly free and in this freedom we can contribute with our best abilities to our own success and to the advancement of civilization.“

Now that the first big bank has unsettled the market again and the Bitcoin price is not really correlated, it seems we have grown our own economy. Bitcoin is a young adult now.

„Economics is haunted by more fallacies than any other study known to man. This is no accident. The inherent difficulties of the subject would be great enough in any case, but they are multiplied a thousandfold by a factor that is insignificant in, say, physics, mathematics or medicine — the special pleading of selfish interests.“ - Henry Hazlitt

Hello. great development! How can I integrate this widget into my webapp?

Question of the day: „If a majority of a group wants cheese pizza, but you want pepperoni, do you think it's fairer to allow you to buy your own pizza or go with the group?“

Good morning. Remember, that real capitalism means freedom of consumer choice through markets and property rights for everyone. That means power to the people instead of regulation by the powerful. Have a nice and productive day 🌝

Social market economy - still up to date?

Today, I once again looked at the origins of German economic policy. The social market economy that dominates German economic life today is based on the so-called "ordoliberalism". According to Walter Eucken (the most important founder of ordoliberalism), the state plays the following role:

"Whether little or more government activity - this question misses the point. It is not a quantitative but a qualitative problem. The state should neither try to control the economic process nor leave the economy to its own devices: state planning of forms - yes; state planning and control of the economic process - no. Recognizing the difference between form and process and acting accordingly is essential. Only in this way can the goal be achieved that not a small minority, but all citizens can direct the economy through the price mechanism. The only economic order in which this is possible is that of 'full competition'. It can only be realized if all market participants are deprived of the possibility of changing the rules of the market. The state must therefore prescribe the market form - i.e., the rules of the game in which business is conducted - by means of an appropriate legal framework."

My opinion on this:

If the state should only be there to prescribe rules of the game to be followed collectively, then we no longer need a state these days. Bitcoin shows us day by day how much people are willing to play by the rules without the coercion of a central authority. No one can change the rules of Bitcoin anymore. Bitcoin not only separates money from the state, it makes the state obsolete.

I am currently cleaning out old files on various cloud services. Just found a text that I've written in 2017:

"The basic question of man is: What do I need to become better? I need: survival instinct, cleverness, ideas, new techniques.

The newest technology we have is the INTERNET. The Internet is the key to all our knowledge of mankind. The Internet is the unlimited communication all over the world. But what does world mean? The Earth?

Through the Internet, possibilities open up for us that are unimaginable.Every HUMAN BEING IS NETWORKED. That's over 8 billion brains that can be assembled into one. 8 billion brains?

Humans have long since ceased to be an interplanetary civilization. We land on the moon, on Mars, we are the kings of the Milky Way. We have our eyes on tens of millions of planets.Constantly we ask ourselves the same question: Are we alone in the universe?

If we look for co-existent life, then there are exactly 2 possibilities. Either the species is in the development behind us-or it is ahead of us. If we want to find a species that is ahead of us we have to reach it. With the Internet?

The Internet is our all-purpose weapon. We shop on the Internet, secure our house with the Internet, listen to music over the Internet. We build it in everywhere, let it make things easier for us, use it around the clock. We connect with people spread all over the globe. And what if other creatures are just as far along? Creatures we don't yet know exist. Is the Internet the key to new worlds?"

Today I would say: the Internet is just a bunch of protocols that Humanity agreed to use. It is quit impossible that external life forms use the same protocols as we do.
