🌍🚀 #Bitcoin on #Mars: Unifying an Interplanetary Financial Frontier

🚀🌕 How can we make Bitcoin work as a unified monetary asset on both Earth and Mars?

Challenges

1️⃣ Time Lag: The time delay for information to travel between Earth and Mars is a significant challenge, ranging from 3 to 22 minutes one way.

2️⃣ Network Security: Establishing a secure mining network on Mars is crucial. Lower hash rates due to limited hardware could make the Martian network vulnerable.

Scientific Solutions

🔑 State Channels: Like Earth's Lightning Network, Mars could have state channels for small transactions, later settled on the main chain.

📦 Batching Transactions: Transactions could be bundled and sent at specific intervals to account for communication lag.

🔮 Oracles: Trusted entities could independently verify transactions on each planet before updating the main chain.

🔒 Multi-Signature Solutions: Transactions could require approval from both Martian and Earth parties, enhancing security.

⏳ Time-Locked Contracts: Smart contracts could execute only after both Earth and Mars nodes agree, ensuring chain consistency.

🛰 Relay Satellites: A network of satellites between Earth and Mars could speed up data transmission for quicker transaction verification.

By harnessing these methods, it's possible to envision a unified Bitcoin network across planets.

Well philosophically sure I guess. But literally no. Our brains can change behavior with no suffering and our body parts can be transplanted relatively painlessly with pain blocking medications or by cutting off or blocking nerve cells.

Change can be fun and not necessary to suffer when changing. Mostly change can be good and feel good too, unless you resist.

Haven't posted in a while. Just got a lot going on. Still reading everyones posts though!

Double your zaps to non #bitcoin related content if you want #nostr to succeed. We need to get everybody on here, not just bitcoiners.

So turns out a lot of people now believe #bitcoin will be the world's reserve currency. That fact that it's not a few people has a huge decision making impact for non believers. Might be best to get some just in case.

Would you pick up a penny on the ground if you saw it?

What price will #tesla buy back at?

Ever feel like nothing goes right and the universe is against you? No matter what you do you still get f#@%ed?

"Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.

Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.

The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.

It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known"

Everything is mostly nothing.

Very interesting 🤔 they don't shed at all apparently. Might be willing to consider a poodle depending on how much the wife pushes for it. Thanks for the article was informative 👍

Wife really wants a poodle but I'm just not sure about the carpet like hair. Is it still soft? How often do we have to trim that?
