Bitcoin & Telecasters

I’m still seeing people wearing them alone outdoors with their noses exposed. That is not a person I would even want to talk to. Of course, I live in the CCP-NPC outpost known as Portland Oregon, so it’s normalized.

I just got 5 Glocks mailed to me for the ‘24 Elections! Thanks Creepy Joe!

I got tired of fussing with my gas powered Honda power washer and bought a corded electric Dewalt for about $250. It works just as well, way more convenient, and has a pulsing masonry tip that is amazing for getting the moss off of my patio bricks.

I went on a Mexicana Air flight when I was a kid. Served steak by super model looking stewardesses. It was memorable!

Man, I sure wish Crooked Still were still together. What amazing stuff that did.

el gato malo has had a great Substack for a while regarding the Covid Affair. He’s come out against Bitcoin as ‘not good enough’. Check out his latest piece. Most of the comments seem supportive in a non specific arrogant ‘I’m a super genius freedom fighter blogging from my secret lair’ sort of way. I think rl gato could benefit from some conversation with a few plebs. I’ll paste a screen shot of my humble response:

LA cosmetic surgeons are soooooo fiat!

Been one of my most listened to podcasts for quite a while. Also, David reads his boostagrams! Why don’t ‘the influencers’ do that? Bidirectional info flow should be embraced!

What’s more difficult than being receptive to new, potentially valuable information?

Unlearning obsolete (now harmful) information!

Unlearning feels like re-work so laziness becomes the default, and inevitably you’ll (comfortably) fall further and further behind. Typically it’s a slow regression and you don’t notice it.

But we’re in an era of acceleration, so stay humble and stack sats!

I didn’t have his reappearance on my ‘24 scorecard. Does he *want* to be associated with CW? His timing is weird!

Inflation and end of credit cycle squash equity valuations back to historical trend and briefly below in the 2030s

All the financial engineering such as indices, buybacks etc fail to attract enough capital to sustain monster valuations. NVDA etc crash back to reasonable P/E.

Can you imagine how much salt there will be with BTC $2M S&P $2000

I’m trying to imagine the future when we live in a decentralized energy economy (small local nukes, hydro, landfill gas, etc) that scales along side local food production and cheap transport (rail, lakes & rivers). What use will cities have? Will anybody want to live in them? I think Kunstler’s ideas have merit, he just has always ignored the problem of fiat Monopoly money in his calculations.
