The SBR discussion is complex

A) We should want American citizens, families, communities, and businesses to hold BTC, not the state

But…

B) It is unrealistic to expect that Bitcoin grows into a global currency without government adoption

Government interest (as opposed to ignorance or dismissal or attacks) is absolutely a signal that Bitcoin is evolving, growing, and succeeding

If Bitcoin was dying no one would be talking about an SBR (obviously)

SBR advocacy *will probably* hasten the transition to the Bitcoin standard

But such advocacy is also fraught with traps of centralization and government shitcoining (as we are watching play out)

IMO it’s ok to not have a black and white take on this

Probably more important than SBR advocacy (which will happen anyway if NGU continues) is civil liberties advocacy to ensure Americans can use Bitcoin privately, self-custodially, and p2p and to ensure American companies and developers can build tools that enable this reality

The amount of motherfuckers taking their bitcoin security seriously makes a guy very VERY happy and hopeful.

People are starting to secure their bitcoin like it deserves to be secured.

At the end of the day, you can stack as many sats and stay as humble as you want... but if your foundation sucks, none of it matters.

I have a feeling the government's are going to have a real hard time prying these sats away from the individuals.

You won’t find the word “Bitcoin” anywhere in our wallet. This is intentional, Apple & Google might change their guidelines at any point, and because 1,000 sats is intuitive, while 0.000001 BTC is not.

3. CUSTODIAL

Here's something that completely surprised me: 80% of our users have never made a Lightning transaction, let alone managed their own keys. By going custodial, we eliminate friction—every user gets a Lightning address that just works. No invoice expirations, no complex setup. A Bitcoin wallet should be as easy as Venmo or Apple Pay.

4. NO FIAT CONVERSION

We operate on a Bitcoin Standard. Your bank doesn’t show your USD balance in gold or Bitcoin—why should we? The world needs to start thinking in Sats.

5. GEO-ZAPPING

Soon we will introduce the ability to zap everyone in a Country or a City, something that no other wallet can do. This should unlock novel use cases for marketing and donations, think sending sats to everybody affected by a natural disaster with just one click.

Bitcoin wins when it's everywhere, Roy Sheinfeld once said "we don't need more lighting apps, we need more apps using lighting". We have now onboarded ~40k people to the LN overnight without them needing to download an extra app or doing anything else.
