😂

Where did u find that dog meme. I've saved it.

Mike, aren't you the Mike that watches UK Bitcoin Master? I'm sure I've seen you on live shows.

Yeah I've heard this before. It does seem like when a country becomes too big, it loses ability to look after its people. I get the feeling its because once country goes beyond certain size, corruption, power, overtakes. Like there is too much conflict of interest. Small community managing itself is manageable.

Some of the best countries in the world im looking at for 2nd residency/ tax / lifestyle are extremely small. Big countries don't offer as much to the individual. 🤔

fwiw Sweden has had digital ID for 20 years.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BankID

Much depends on how it's implemented. For example, private alternatives are allowed/accepted and banks must allow anyone to open account.

Sounds like its ok in Sweden for now. But all it takes is one country to overstep the mark and use it as a way to suppress, take away basic rights then suddenly every other country follows, even Sweden will join the trend.

Did you know that because Italy locked down in 2020, suddenly it gave permission for all other countries to do the same. (You can't include China, because China perceived as against human rights, extreme suppression etc.) Italy was the first country in west to open the idea that lead to the world getting locked down. Same will apply to digital id. It will just take one respectable western country and every other country will race to join.

I'm really suspicious of the powers digit id gives government.

If bitcoin could surpass gold Market cap quick, then I think we should have a chance 🤞

For the life of me, I can't seem to get them to work. I've put in the encrypted text with and without the iv value and the hex pubkey of the sender and receiver; regardless of the combination of those that I use, it always comes back with "Could not decrypt the message". Do you have any idea of what I could be doing wrong? The messages are properly encrypted, sent, and decryptable on other clients, btw.

Thanks, stacksats.io looks good. Cheers. 👍

It just feels like every revolution always ends the same way, what you try get rid of, eventually just keeps coming back. Chopping a few heads off, feels like the same thing all over again. Revolutions make things better for abit, but seems like its following a patterned cycle thats keeps repeating, like its repeated for countless times in the last 2000 years plus. Those that say its human natures, thats just the way it is, sounds like a cop out answer. I dont know what the alternative approach is. I bet there is a better way, often stares us in the face and we can't see it. Frustrating AF.

Yeah same, in 2020 I was on fb telling my friends I'm not following any of the lockdowns/ restrictions, and why, trying to break the spell everyone was under. It was scary how little effect I had, and how many just stops talking to me. They thought I was nuts. I'm in UK and we didn't even have it as bad as most of Europe or Australia and parts of US. I feel for all of you that endured the hardest strictest enforcement.

Krikey, that sounds scary. What happens if you don't get digital id. I suppose it means u won't be able to participate in every day things, banking, id check, driving, leave the country, and more. Similar to people don't get passport, aren't allowed to travel abroad etc. I'm in the UK, so that means next couple of years for us something similar will be coming.

Good excuse to learn spanish, Latin America covered. Buena onda. 😎

I've always wanted to live in Australia, reaction to covid really put me off. It almost feels like it was deliberate, like Australia was picked just to see how far they could push the masses.

The expression on the dogs face. 😳 Priceless🤣

Thats quite nice, the line is spinning further from the centre, only one place to go. And people are questioning whether we will hit 100k. Thats foolish. I wouldn't be surprised if we are 100k plus for new years. That would be awesome. I remember last cycle wanting to celebrate 100k. I feel its just round the corner. 💯

Yeah, I think it gives people reassurance. When price has been bouncing around so long in range last 6 months, power law keeps people's spirits up. We all need abit of reassurance every once in a while.

Yeah I think u r right. How would we broadcast transactions / blocks? I've heard we can use ham radio to broadcast if even cell phone signal is down. As far as I'm aware this is theoretical. I'd love to see someone actually put it to the test and illustrate it practically and contribute to the hash rate. It would shut up the sceptics once and for all.
