I used to make compost similar to you. But later discovered that keeping compost aerobic is key. The problem with using a black plastic bag, there is a risk that compost can become anaerobic. Which doesn't promote beneficial microbes.

I think by the time these governments/ so called powers try to do anything too irrational, it will be too late. Incmoming Cbdc will have same result as Nigeria and I didn't know but Caribbean have also launched cbdc.

This bitcoin cycle plus one more should do it. By this time bitcoin will be way past gold. Waiting for the day when people don't really need a bank account to exchange value / buy goods and bitcoin is ubiquitous.

It still concerns me. By letting the banks fail, they aren't getting the banks to take responsibilty for their failures. They are removing the banks all together, and the new banks will be the government cbdc. So letting banks fail, is to remove the competition.

Majority of people don't have bitcoin, so they will have no choice but to use the cbdc.

In countries where cbdc attempted eg. Nigeria, China, not all the main banks failed? Not all banks have been removed.

If all banks failed simultaneously, because eg. a global financial crisis, and then government come in to save the day with cbdc, wouldn't majority of people fall into line and adopt cbdc? If this happened today then I fear this would be the case. I think the longer this scenario takes to happen, then the least likely this government cbdc infiltration could succeed. Hopefully by then enough people have bitcoin.

I dont think the government are brave enough to attemp such a plan to happen, risk of chaos, rioting, losing control etc. Also it would have to be a global financial crisis, so one country couldn't do this on their own. Literally all banks fail globally. So I suppose 2008 crisis, there was no point to allow bank failure, no body would have access to money globally, and a cbdc solution were not an option because they didn't exist.

Can't they allow the banks to collapse in a financial crisis and then offer desperate people cbdc as a replacement for the money people have lost. This could force adoption. Its a big gamble on the governments part and will definitely speed up bitcoin adoption. If the governments fails then we could be on a bitcoin standard. Which is a success for freedom, the individual, self sovereign.

On the other hand, he could have got access to bitcoin he mined completely separately that we dont even know about. Even having 100 bitcoin would be more than enough to live happily.

By not moving the 1.1million stash makes people think he isn't alive any more, which is the best cover if you don't want to be identified.

I still haven't watched the hbo documentary. There was so much hype, "true identity of satoshi will be revealed" from the response it sounds like an anti climax. Will get round to it eventually. Just like to say, " I am Satoshi". 👤

I was thinking something similar the other day. We have a key for the information and we can disclose it by sharing it to whom ever. So then we have complete control over who see our information.

I haven't watched it, but I suspected the claim would be baseless. I think Satoshi's identity will remain a mystery forever.

I do hope he is still alive, and watching, showing us that we don't have to chase fame, acknowledgement from others to validate ourselves. That really would be great. I'm not sure I'd be able to do it. I think I'd want to share with very close friends or family that I trust. I don't think fame is all that its made out to be. End up becoming a zoo animal, everyone knows you, everywhere you go. I would find fame very unsettling. I hope Satoshi is watching everything unfold and admiring his creation with pride.

Yes I know, I was weary of donating to truckers using my bitcoin because I realised my support would be public if the bitcoin was linked to me. Doesn't Lightning solve this? It's supposed to be pretty much private I believe. And you can send as much as $1000 on lightning.

Its easy to attack now, because everyone relies on exchanges to cash out and actually use their bitcoin by converting to Fiat.

But it won't always be like this. I'm not 100% certain the problems will be resolved. I have considered buying Monero. Whats the best DEX to buy Monero? Foolish to not have some in the future as a back up.
