Going to be on a panel at Cheatcode with a Nostr focus

What was the main reason you decided to start using it?

#asknostr

(If I answer myself, it's the idea of not being censored, ie a content creator cannot be de-platformed... GAMEchanger)

A desire to go back to an open and weird internet.

Weird: if you want

Open: absolutely!

the thing that got me on nostr was not being censored and being able to participate in shaping maybe one of the most important internet protocols to date, and get paid enough to live decently for doing my bit... plus i really like to say things a lot that get me banned really fast from twitter and all the rest... i went back to xitter for a day one time and immediately had my account limited and hardly even said anything compared to what i can say freely here

When I arrived thing were really, loose and not working great but with huge potential.

One of the first clients I used was astral.ninja , it reminded me of the good old internet of the β€˜90

Things moves so fast in a few years, though

It was fun, weird, and positive

I just wanted to get away from these influencer profiles where nothing is real anymore. I needed more humanity, faith, sound people and money. I found this at Nostr πŸ’œπŸ§‘

So fun zapping people as a thank you for helping with primary research like this

A friend told me that here are the best banned from other networks and I want to learn about Bitcoin, now I'm sure that this is my place 🫑

I Joined Nostr, because X was banned in Brazil, Pavel Durov arrest in France. Innocent people in UK arrested, imprisoned for upto 20 months for stating an opinion about UK immigration policy on social media. Crazy.

Within a week I signed up, and never looked back.

I feel free to express what I want and not be afraid of being banned, censored, and arrested. (*Use a pseudonym when expressing controversial views that could get you arrested* especially UK)

Nostr feels great.

Thank you Nostr devs / relay operators / all nostr supporters for making this possible. πŸ™ ❀

Thanks for sharing your journey! Many fill follow similar path's I am sure

I am sorry, I don't fully understand this note. Can you explain in more detail?

Aaron Swartz was a legend. He completed suicide because of the corruption of the #USA government. He deserves to be remembered. When I first came here I did it for him.

Whatever zaps ⚑️ etc that were made ( or possibly still are ) under alternate accounts were supposed to be donated to the Human Rights Foundation. I did the zap ⚑️ thing etc & met other #btc people IRL. πŸ™

The rest of the picture isn’t applicable as much as freedom technology is good for #humanity. It gives 99% a way to stand against the top 1% who control the world. Same as #btc

As a writer ✍️ my words sometimes help me understand more. Some others seem to like them too. πŸ˜‚πŸ«‚

Below πŸ‘‡ was a response when #Craig sued the first time. Since he’s back up to his lunacy it seems appropriate to use this πŸ˜‚

Satoshi was a woman.

Not really. #Satoshi was a dream.

A new paradigm. Atlas Tilted.

Sent to change the modern world.

Created perfect & destroyed by

Humankind greed and capitalism

Monopolistic governments

Core values of love destroyed

Hate me all you want.

Proof will prove itself eventually

For Hal and Aaron and

Human Rights

Why is Craig fighting?

Greed is good. 😊

Don’t tell me he’s pledged his

#btc to charity

How much has he already donated?

IF HE WERE SATOSHI …

He would have stayed quiet 🀫

Continuing to change the world

With love ❀️

How do I know?

Isn’t Craig a genius?

Well then …

#ProofOfWork

Same here. In addition to there being a large population of #bitcoiners on here πŸ™ I'll be volunteering at CheatCode. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts

Nice. Look forward to meeting in person

Kept hearing about it from Marty and Odell.

Tried it and realised that it aligns well with my new found Bitcoin-centric value system.

Think it may represent the future of the internet even though it’s early days.

I mainly joined because it's uncensorable, and I think that's going to become very important in the near to medium term.

Tarik great to see you here!

Same here Jake...see you at CheatCode!
