If it’s not open source your code should not touch Github nor any other git service you are not hosting yourself

And the most annoying thing is the rapid speed how everything progresses. It’s hard to just stay in the loop and not to mention be truly familiar with all the progress and use it. Just updating everything is becoming full time job

Spent whole day upgrading an old Laravel 8 application. Fixing bugs, dependencies, modifying all that needs to be modified. It is a painful experience and I almost gave up few times with an idea that it’s easier to rewrite the whole app and it’s not a small app 🤪

Anyway, whenever you think about giving up - give it another try because there is so much one can learn from challenging endeavors.

Something extraordinary is happening in a small country in Eastern Europe

In Serbia, student protests have been ongoing since November 2024, primarily triggered by the collapse of a concrete canopy at Novi Sad railway station, which resulted in 15 deaths. These protests have evolved into a broader anti-government movement, demanding accountability, justice for the disaster, and a fight against corruption and perceived authoritarian rule under President Aleksandar Vučić. Here's a summary of the situation:

**Protests and Strikes**:

Students have organized various forms of protest, including daily blockades, marches, and sit-ins. The protests have grown to include a general strike called by students, where many businesses, schools, bookshops, and theaters in Belgrade and other parts of Serbia have either shut down or participated in solidarity actions. This strike was notably joined by teachers, lawyers, and even some media workers, showing widespread support across different sectors of society.

**Demands**:

The students initially demanded accountability for the railway station disaster, but the protests have expanded to include calls for systemic change, the release of all documents related to the Novi Sad station reconstruction, and the prosecution of those responsible for the tragedy and attacks on protesters. They also seek an end to corruption and a more democratic governance system.

**Government Response**:

The Serbian government has faced significant pressure, with President Vučić organizing counter-rallies to maintain support for his administration. There have been instances of state media and pro-government forces attempting to discredit the protests by associating them with foreign influences or by revealing personal information of protesters, suggesting state security involvement.

**Public Sentiment**:

The protests have garnered significant public support, with polls indicating a majority of Serbians support the student movement, reflecting broader dissatisfaction with the direction of the country under the current government. However, translating this support into political change has proven challenging due to the lack of a clear alternative.

**Violent Incidents**:

There have been violent incidents, including cars driving into crowds of protesters, which have further escalated tensions and demands for justice and government accountability.

**Cultural and Social Backing**:

The movement has received backing from various societal groups, including cultural institutions, which have either joined the strikes or supported the protests in other ways, highlighting a cultural resistance to the government's policies.

This ongoing situation in Serbia reflects deep-seated issues with governance, corruption, and public trust, with students at the forefront of demanding change.

I guess they have come to the “bad times create strong man” moment.

How do you know you’re alive? Maybe it’s just a trip in heaven 😉

Friday dump means Monday pump

Been there and I have rectified it by being thankful that I live in society with which I share some basic values of life, morality and ethics, while at the same time I find literal belief as being ridiculous.

Also I do believe that for some people (mostly young souls) it is better to have Christianity as an anchor than to be completely left to wonder in obscurity of the conciseness as uninitiated soul

Time to write some tests

If you look into Bitcoin long enough, Bitcoin will smile back at you

How to lose weight- the easy way

ECB President Christine Lagarde has stated that central banks should hold reserves that are "liquid, secure, and safe," implying that Bitcoin would not be included in such reserves.

It does not come with a surprise because one would not expect from convicted criminal to understand that Bitcoin IS the most liquid and most secure asset in the whole Universe but it is becoming more and more evident that Europe is in horrific downfall if these people continue to play the game they play.

It's not about Bitcoin - it's about pushing obvious lies regardless of the topic. I don't want to believe they are just misinformed because it is their job to be informed but pushing such BS into the public space is just plain evil and not sustainable

With Bitcoin I have become so “don’t trust - verify” that more and more people call me psycho

Not really but never used advanced search and it was a bit buggy when tried. And off course it’s case sensitive 🤪

Is there a way to use advanced search in Primal that actually works?

You may love or hate Elon and Xitter but the way Grok is able to merge AI and real time data that it’s fed by millions of users is so freaking useful

The way Elon is using users to feed the Grok with data in real time for free is hilarious but nevertheless quite useful

I really love the way Deepseek gives you all the reasoning behind its answer.

For a simple calculating question about real/nominal GDP and inflation it just gave me 5 pages of reasoning and explanations before spitting out simple answer in one sentence

One can learn so much and its freaking fast
