I’m running a battle field boss: an order of the scribe wizard.

First two rounds are to buff party members and disrupt the enemy.

In third round and on, it’s DPS to finish off the baddies.

We seldom get to round four.

A mob of undead came charging at us. They were in a 10’ hallway heading our position.

I cast Wall of Fire along one side of the hall. It took two turns to reach us, taking damage each round.

Our sorcerer did lightning bolt, and half are gone.

By the end of the second round all eight were dead.

Our second major encounter and we only used two spells.

GM was annoyed we had a lot more spells than he expected.

My doctor friends are very excited about the non-compete going away. They have felt trapped with the hospital network they signed up with and the only way to set up their own practice was to pay a big contract adjustment or move out of state for a few years.

You will see a lot of people changing jobs when this ends before the lawyers can get it back in action.

I am looking forward to the next garden show.

I moved off post (age 14) and into a subdivision.

It was cool having a shoppett near by. The third time me and my new friends walked in I was showing my ID card like you do.

The older lady behind the counter with a thick East German/European accent asked what I was doing.

When I said showing my ID so I can shop I got a very loud 10 min rant about how you don’t do that in a free nation, that she did not come here just to see kids turning into mindless idiots showing their papers on demand. (And that I was too young to have ID).

This is not that world any more
