Having near world wide comms coverage with any infrastructure is extremely satisfying. And you learn it of physics for free. The new kids are really being the hobby back with JS8&FT8 digi modes on QRP(low power), itโs really neat. As comercial stuff loses interest in sub 30mhz, the pectrum is wide open for experimentation and no more encroachment into ham bands.
