When Napstr?
Who better to build a new holy land of truth than Bitcoiners and Nostriches?

This is an opportunity for NOSTR. NOSTR, through the apps that are built on top of it, can become a place where the truth will be found.
However, from what I have heard and indirectly observed (I am not on twitter). Twitter is still a long ways off from fulfilling it's potential as this new source of the truth, beloved by all.
He has argued that, because of this there is now a spot for a new institution to come in and supplant the NYTs. Typically referring to twitter as that institution. Or at least having the potential to becoming that institution.
One of my favorite writers, Curtis Yarvin, in various podcasts has observed that the NYT has vacated it's position as the most trustworthy and high quality source of the truth. I can't currently recall which.
It used to be we had instiutions that were highly trusted. The NYT was, at one time, considered the crème de la crème of new sources. It still is depending on who you ask.

What was it about his portrayal that broke the immersion for you?
The nice thing about Bitcoin is the high level concepts are nebulous enough you easily deflect when you get tired of trying to explain it to a layman.
