I guess I just want to offer my encouragement. Call me crazy, but I think we can do it if enough if us believe there is real value. 🙂

IMHO 🙏 we won't escape the endless debate about the risk associated with change until we can formally express the contract of the Bitcoin protocol. I've had many conversations about this, and the prevailing opinion seems to be "the only contract is Satoshi's code". I'm not satisfied with that. It's hard, thankless work, but it's worth it to define the "spec". Once we have the definition, we can evaluate whether or not a change is "breaking" or "non-breaking". I won't pretend to have the answers, but this is often how API's are managed outside of the digital currency protocol space, and it's a successful approach in my experience.

I uninstalled Twitter. Tired of high-follower accounts bragging about the struggles we face building alternatives. I know they're just coping with insecurities about starting over and losing their influence, but it still gets under my skin. They're chuckling about their free and open communication forum being bought and manipulated at will by filthy rich narcissist. #[0] was a humble leader, but it was broken from the start. Fuck it, let's do this.

Weekends are my time to work on my LN for Kubernetes stuff. I didn't make much progress past couple, but I mean... Can you blame me? Switzerland is really something else.

Today the plan is just me and my laptop in Geneva cafes. I'm getting close to something interesting, I promise.
