"The rug pulls will continue until self-custody improves" - nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx
I think it’s the same idea, yeah.
But not just self custody, but also like, “what about a Turing complete blockchain?” or “what if we amass a ton of capital to try to physically link money and identity to every human?”
If we were to re-run this era multiple times, I think these sorts of ideas would always come up. And rather than just be put aside, they will always be tried. And when they fail, they will be tried in a different way. It’s an iterative test to arrive at what works, rather than everyone realizing ahead of time what works.

My business does better when I focus less time on Twitter and spend more time caring about Google search traffic.
So naturally I spend all my time on Twitter.
I generally hold the view that in order to appreciate the value of bitcoin, humanity has to try basically every wrong answer multiple times and see why those things failed.
The impact of nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a nostr:npub1cj8znuztfqkvq89pl8hceph0svvvqk0qay6nydgk9uyq7fhpfsgsqwrz4u or any other Bitcoin educator/influencer walking away from twitter from good, bringing their value to nostr instead, is a lot greater than the impact from complaining about twitter every other day on Nostr
But complaining about it on #nostr brings engagement and $
Hypocrites
The key is to complain about Twitter on Twitter, for hundreds of thousands to see.
That’s where a lot of my friends are. Elon’s not going to make me leave my friends.
Instead, I’ll keep spreading my message on Twitter, unless or until they stop me from doing that.
That is the biggest challenge out there. If you go through airports, for example, you get all sorts of scans.
All the credit agencies collect information on you without you opting in. Unless you’re a mountain man or a monk, interacting in civilization more results in data collection.
Best we can do is mitigate it and meme about it. nostr:note1sgq34kn6km5r7mtkp5rwy036g0e8vr257x0ftmr0hqlrdyl628ws7hy7wh
This is why ultimately it’s price that is important. Price is the economy’s true communication system, per Hayek.
And not just price per some theoretical energy unit at a time when you don’t want it or need it, but the price of power specifically when and where you want it or need it (ie base load or storage).
It’s true for all energy usage. For any energy source that is not cheap in practice, it’s usually (although not always)* because it’s also more environmentally intensive than we imagine as well.
*Nuclear power gets a lot of cost added to it from regulatory issues. nostr:note16u6u0d2lnmqyr549hhtfdxtwpwaflc8hj6a0v7pa6dkeqqz3zxrsr0zvr3
Yeah they already scan us a lot when we go through airports and stuff. I assume many governments already have my retina.
I will not live in the pod, eat the bugs, turn off the air conditioning, or visit the Orb.
Like a psychopath.
What are your thoughts about the robots we physically sent to Mars?
We are the aliens. There is no extra terrestrial life, not in this dimension..

Among the trillions of material world planets, you think none have life?
If that is the case (and I don’t know), that would seem disappointing for Creation. I always assumed Creation is bigger than I can imagine, and the existence of a trillion dead worlds kind of contradicts that view.
I am always happy to share nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx content when he speaks to a broad audience.
The more people who hear Odell rant about something, the better society will be. Every fellow normie that I can convince to listen to a third of it, is effort well spent.
My thoughts to Brad, I think are worth broadcasting, as I work how how to best use and support Nostr: nostr:note1zudecullqey4rw6wdrkgpc2ajjtyqcrfwqedgwcyvfajlklpzt7sxrc358
Cross posting my macro stuff here was my early intent, but I ran into frictions. I would start to but then forget to post stuff here. And some of the early desktop clients kind of sucked for posting images. Primal is making that better.
I found myself naturally posting “insider updates” about my book progress and stuff. And occasionally ranting about things. That’s what felt natural. Posting macro content here always felt like a chore. There are studies that show how hard it is to be “native” on two or more social media platforms. You can easily cross-post, but actually *understanding* the culture of different ecosystems is really hard. Reposting often feels hollow, especially because there is a big bitcoin community here but not a big macro community, and most of the small macro community that is here catches my stuff elsewhere anyway.
The more I think about it, unique content is best. Cross posting doesn’t hurt but it’s not the key driver. And the only unique content that will be genuine is stuff I feel uncomfortable or uninterested in posting on Twitter.
This is a good idea. Maybe I should do some AMA content on Nostr, and mention it on Twitter.
I can’t answer all questions on Twitter (too many), but if someone takes the time to join early Nostr, that is a useful filter and incentive to utilize. nostr:note1mz63warsfkapzrtu0tvh5ht6as6x3rgjh0k4u70p6xdgnst70lvs0dx9f7
Pete, I know you are back on Twitter now. I am happy about that; I shared your notes here when you were cut off.
You have talked about how helping a bitcoin circular economy form is important.
I think a decentralized uncensored speech circular economy is similarly important. And bitcoin helps make that workable here on Nostr.
Nostr is a useful ingredient to bitcoin medium of exchange utilization. And it’s important that protocols like Nostr exist.
I encourage you to keep posting here, even as you have your Twitter account back.
Hello world.
