Discussão boa no Nostr sobre se vale ou não a pena fazer o onboarding do novo user através de auto-custódia ou através da Lightning Network custodiada.
O pessoal nem tocou no assunto da Phoenix wallet, mas por enqto ela é a excessão do mercado inteiro.
Eu uso o argumento de que podemos introduzir o Bitcoin e depois mostrar como melhorar o nosso uso.
Entendo que é difícil o suficiente para um novo usuário lidar com chaves privadas e etc...
Então:
1) apresentar através da lightning network e ter a experiência suave de rápido e barato
2) entender conceitos econômicos mais avançados
3) entender a importância de lidar com suas próprias carteiras e autocustódia
4) retirada de exchanges para cold/hardware wallets
5) compreender conceitos tecnicos mais profundos
6) executando nós btc e ln
7) mineração (mesmo com um nerdminer)
A educação sobre Bitcoin é mais difícil do que outros tópicos porque há um monte de camadas densas. E para o usuário que nunca teve contato com ele, começo do nível mais alto/fácil.
A Phoenix é uma opção linda, que evoluiu demais desde a Eclair que eu testei em 2017/18. Mas ainda depende do usuário fazer um depósito inicial de sats na ln, e o cara nem sabe o que é tudo isso ainda.
Wallets custodiais na ln estão completamente fora dos valores propagados por Satoshi (centralização + intermediário), mas infelizmente é o que a gente tem pra trabalhar nesse momento (não gosto mesmo)
Temos avançado muito, e rápido. Logo mais esse passo será superado também.

I use the argument that we can introduce it and then show how to improve it.
It is hard enough for a new user to handle private keys and etc... then, in my personal scale and considering the final goal for every bitcoiner is to mine their own btc to avoid kyc'd (ok, hard, but stills).
So:
1) introduce through lightning network and having the smooth experience of fast and cheap
2) understanding more deep economic concepts
3) understanding the importance to handle their own wallets and auto-custody
4) Withdraw from exchanges to cold/hardware wallets
5) Understanding more deep tech concepts
6) Running btc and ln nodes
7) Mining (even with a nerd miner)
The education about Bitcoin is harder than other topics because there are a bunch of dense layers. And for the user who never had contact with it, I start from the highest/easy level.
