Today, during my livestream, some viewers requested the book as an inscription.

While inscribing the entire ebook is not feasible due to the fees, and I doubt anyone from my audience would be willing to pay for such a large inscription, there is an alternative solution.

It is possible to upload the book to another shared and decentralized filesystem and then create a text inscription pointing to that location. This approach would require slightly more bytes than an OP_RETURN, but it would offer the possibility of transferring ownership.

Without causing any spam, I am considering exploring this option. If anyone has thoughts or opinions on this matter, please feel free to share them here.

Maybe you meant L2 instead of integration of another L1? Because I don't see any other L1 other than Bitcoin itself, and by doing self-custody there because of the original nature.

I see some paths progressing towards self-custody in L2 for the mainstream, but they are still far from reaching a trustless state and/or the mainstream.

Since phoenix seems to be making easier/seamless to swap between L1 <> L2, IMO they are a little ahead of the others.

I'm on the same boat. The original path is the best way and L1 is sovereign!

Actually, I recommend a list of ln wallets, ranging from zbd to phoenix and zeus, while always explaining the differences between them. Two wallets removed were muun and now zbd.

Since eclair, imo, phoenix is currently headed in the best direction for non-custodial mainstream adoption, but it is not there yet.

One thing I tell people is that since the best ux and service wallets are custodial, never accumulate a large sum using them. It is part of the hygiene (or good habit) to split or transfer the funds from custodial wallets to non-custodial wallets regularly.

I'm always trying and testing new things in my show, but for the micro-donations I receive and for the giveaways I do every day, ln is the best solution so far (yet).

I opened a support ticket, and after a long wait and opening a second ticket, the only response I got was a promise to "escalate" the problem. With no further responses, I continued opening tickets and demonstrating their lack of support live, as a real test of customer service.

Since the beginning of the Morning Crypto program in 2021, I have been recommending ZBD to our community as a good wallet option for beginners on the Lightning Network, but always warned about the risks of custodial wallets. Now, this experience reinforces the problem and serves as a great practical example: a custodial wallet can confiscate your sats without any explanation.

During the livestreams this week, I received numerous testimonies from users with similar issues on ZBD, reporting account locks without explanations and lack of support.

Therefore, I have removed ZBD from my recommendations and advise everyone: avoid using this wallet, due to the risk of losing your sats.
