Would it solve both battery and mobile bandwith issues with #nostr to move feed aggregation across relays to servers? That would also allow things like push notifications to happen there I guess...
Is there already a plan to solve this in another way? #[0] #[1]
It works but the crowd here is almost exclusively technical and/or bitcoin oriented. Besides that, the massive data usage on mobile is a huge draw back for the average social media user.
On the up side, getting started is relatively easy for something this new
I do, but like you don't know many who feel the same
I like it too, wish it had a dark mode though...
Here, I will be hit double. I'm a business owner so my public pension will be like 1000 euros per month, not enough to live on. But when I keep working or earn money, they will keep that pension too. Government pensions are a scam and a pyramid scheme
No, but it did in the nineties/2000s.
I remember that I worked days to clear enough lowmem (1MB) in DOS to run a specific game.
Tell me your pension fund is broke without telling me. lol You will work until you're 64 and you will be happy

It's 68 in Belgium... But they won't be paying pensions at that age either. Funds are gone
Unfortunate that it's closed source
Yeah, that's one downside to me
What's the oldest #linux server you still have operational today? Mine is an internal database on Ubuntu 12.04...
Bitcoin offset against goods like food and houses is volatile. It's also relatively young.
The only stable and proven store of value to date is gold/silver
Really Al?

Is this something that can be fixed in the future?
One thing is mobile data usage. But in the end, most normies accept that they have no privacy and make no effort to change. Easiest example is Signal over Whatsapp.
I use amethyst on Android, in about a month it used 1.4GB. I have unlimited data, but it is still a lot...
Seriously? How much data dit it consume? Which client?
