Saw this on Twitter today. The (anti-free speech) terms of service amendment says no links to Nostr. (I get no advertising campaigns, but social media has tons of things that link elsewhere.) Anyway, this person didn't link.

I'm watching this in snort.social. it's an inbedded player, as for actually being transmitted through Nostr, not really, but ever heard of Keet? It's a new peer to peer data sharing method made by the Tether guys and it's being used by the Bitcoin company Synonym. It can definitely do livestreams without a central server. A nostr client could have that integrated.

I have a $20 gift certificate to Starbucks from my Birthday, so they have three times more custody over my 'wealth' than Wallet of Satoshi does, but I get it.

But maybe its like playing whack-a-mole. If WoS were to get shut down, there are plenty of jurisdictions that wouldn't shut something like it down.

Good to think adversarially though. This place is magical and I'd hate it to lose it's spark (or zap.)

I will say, before I got into Bitcoin, there was a point when food prices were quickly rising, and savings accounts were offering .025% interest, so investing in buying non-perishable food a few months ahead of time was a better use of money than savings accounts. Kinda a "prepper" thing too incase something happened.

When our money is broken, other things become monetized. Even if it is not adequately durable, fungible, portable or divisible.

Also Bitcoin can be stored for long amounts of time without smelling like rotten fish. So it is a superior monetary technology.

I'm surprised nobody has done a mini custodial wallet inside a nostr client. Of course we are really early. But you know, another app opens up when it could really be one or two clicks like Stacker News.

An app store that just deals with different clients that interact with the Nostr Protocol.

Hats off to #[0], the updated Amethyst is great. Let's you change zap amount, and longclick let's you set preset sat amount buttons. Also right next to amount of likes is the amount of sats they got, which I love!

**Note, if you download Amethyst through the Google Play Store, and then download the new version through. .apk, you have to uninstall the old version first or the new version won't install.
