Hello there, I'm a Gen X small business owner and lifestyle blogger. I mostly share my crafting and gardening adventures in Dunedin, New Zealand. I have a PhD in Plant Biochemistry, and a certificate in Horticulture.

Some days I just find it really sad that NZ doesn’t have any gardening TV shows. I usually just go on YouTube and watch Gardeners World in the UK. I haven’t found yet any good NZ gardening channels on YouTube. #gardeningNZ #gardening

Yeah, so if it seems like I'm grumpy, I am...

I'm having a very grumpy day today, friends.

Yeah, so the ingrown toenail surgery that cost me $300, gave me an infection, then my toe wouldn't heal properly for a whole month, was unsuccessful.

The toenail section that got removed has started regrowing, and it hurts.

Of course I have to go back to the GPs for a doctors appointment to confirm this, and then I have to have the surgery redone, and I'll be back to the start again.

I hope you’re okay.

Watching one of my favorite musicals while eating junk food and singing at the top of my lungs. Having a relaxing bath while listening to Taylor Swift. Hanging out with friends and going to the movies. A trip to a bookshop and buying lots of books. Cuddling my kitties.

With all covid 19 protections being scrapped from tomorrow, the chances of me staying covid free will become next to nil...

We must've spent at least 6 hours digging into the ground to dig out all the roots, so that our lime bush can go into that space in October.

We still haven't gotten rid of all the roots, but 80% of it is now done. The patio is a mess, covered in mounds of dirt.

Spent the afternoon finishing tidying up the section of the garden where one of the damask roses was going into.

And with hubby's help we managed to get another climbing rose under control, and we pulled all the canes back over to our side of the fence from next door.

Our Duc De Cambridge damask rose is now sitting in it's new home.
