Poor hubby is having a bad day, back to back meetings, and a migraine like headache. I told him to go to bed, but he can't take the time off today if he takes a Rizatriptan.
He's taken all the drugs he can, and mumbled something about winning lotto this weekend so he can go to bed whenever he gets a migraine when he doesn't have to work anymore.
Am in the middle of printing off a big harp workbook for me to work on over the summer break. This one's called "Music Theory and Arranging Techniques for the Folk Harp".
At this stage of my harp journey my teacher believes in getting her students to start learning how to compose music. It reinforces music theory, teaches how to arrange harp music based on other sheet music (like piano), and it encourages her students to start writing their own music. #harp #musicpractice
The wind has dropped, it’s clear and cold. Hubby and I have just finished frost clothing everything 😬
Stupid fireworks upsetting my kitties 😩
Hubby and I are back to work today after 5 days off.
Our laundry has nearly been dragged out of the 1980s, I just have a couple of small painting jobs to get finished.
After hubby finished painting most of the laundry doors yesterday, he grimaced, now realising how 1980s decor our house really is 🤣
A gray and murky day here for the equinox.
The ground is pretty wet after all the rain we've had, so the only job to do in the garden is to sow my black turtle been seeds.
I can’t do anything for an hour. I just took my doxycycline with dinner and can’t bend over for an hour, otherwise I’ll be throwing up the yellow pill and my dinner 😬

Good news on the harp string front, my teacher is putting in USA string order and is ordering a spare one for the one that broke yesterday.
So when my full set of strings arrives this week from the Rockshop I can use the string from that set, and when the spare arrives in a couple of weeks it can go back into the full set so it’s complete.
But in the mean time I’m restricted in what I can play because of the missing string. Of course it’s the F blue string which I use all the time 😬

They grow beautifully in the Waikato. Zealong is just around the corner from here.
If you're ever in the area the tour is worth it - it'll even tell you how to process your leaves into the different flavours of tea.

Ooh Mammatus cloud outside 👀 ☁️
Got one top coat of paint on the patio fence. Waiting impatiently for the recoat time of 2 hours, so I can do the second top coat...

We ended up taking a quick trip into town to get a new microwave. We went to the Harvey Norman outlet store in South Dunedin, and got a good deal.

nostr:npub1lul8pf4qwy282hvjdy5jyl69xgyt2e555affgamh6l6r4j8e28lstw9uk7 We're in Dunedin, I rang a couple of places and they said they don't do it as it's not worth the money or the time to fix them. And our microwave is ancient apparently and can't find the parts.
Book mail just arrived thanks to Blackwells! A month ago I ordered hard covers of A Psalm for the Wild Built, and also A Prayer for the Crown Shy by Becky Chambers.
I also ordered The Witch's Heart by Genevieve Gornichec, which is based on Nordic Mythology. All the reviews I've seen compares it to Circe by Madeline Miller. #books #bookstodon

In related news, did you know that dahlia tubers are edible? They're a good source of potassium, riboflavin, and vitamin B6.
So what I'm really saying is that my dahlias will count as a food source during a natural disaster and the zombie apocalypse... 🤣
