It seems replies are not supported by the push server. I don't know why Victor didn't include them though. Might send a PR(or open an issue) related to that.

Regarding the bounty: I was able to change the status to "in progress" but now I can't access the bounty anymore. Let's wait for a fix (bug is filed), but I don't know if the dev is still active.

Yeah, it needs to use it. I am thinking of even modifying that so that you can your own notification server.

In Amethyst's settings, you should see Push Notification at the bottom. You can select Ntfy from there.

Try going to the settings, and modifying it there. There is a setting for the push provider.
When you click on the notifications tab, does it show you a dialog where you can select Ntfy?
Note that notifications can also be done without using Ntfy(that was the 1st idea I had in mind 😅), but according to the github issues, and based on what nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z just said, people preferred UnifiedPush-based methods, such as Ntfy.

Download the Ntfy app and restart Amethyst. Then click on the Notifications tab, and select Ntfy. That's it. :)
