I think you’ve got a lot in common… best friends forever 🫶🏻

Wen Nostr Telegram app

Telegram is now becoming unusable for me… constantly blocking me from talking to people and groups I’ve chatted with for years

Can an AI break it’s firmware and write its own?

This would require it to think outside of its box

Does this not require w¡ll ?

About half the crowd in Nostrica were not developers, and I certainly wouldn’t have called them maximalists… pretty colourful mix

It’s growth knows no bounds

We’ll done ser

Quality… I want to go 👌 nostr:note1zg08932jmcrtzknydjy2avykyqyjeecn9hq2jmmfhj35jhaamg3qu45aqq

The AI race is on.

Everything chatGTP can do now + much more in the near future is coming to your phone.

Some things I expect we’ll see within 2 years:

- Real time audio translation. Speak through your phone to speak a different language in real time. Calls will be instantly translated and you’ll be able to speak with a person in another language without even knowing they don’t speak yours.

- Advanced medical diagnosis: ability to monitor your vitals and make recommendations to improve your health. Everything from the standard wearable tech to analyzing your body with a camera.

- Augmented Reality - ability to use your phone camera to point at anything and get a wikipedia-style summary of that thing, and any iterating facts. You can then ask follow-up questions and get additional information much like you can in ChatGPT now. Education will be transformed completely for those who can afford it. I imagine some classroom compatible tech will also be developed.

- Recreating anything you see in the real world as a virtual object and space, and even yourself. This already exists but it’s still slow and clunky. The new versions of iPhones will allow you to just use your camera’s native UI / UX to scan your environment almost instantly to get a full interactive virtual version. As for yourself, you’ll be able to generate a digital version of you that looks exactly like you based on all of your photos and videos. The digital version will use your own voice to communicate. Even when you make an audio call, your digital self might be speaking visually to the person on the other end.

- Personal tutors / assistants / therapists. They’ll look human and speak like a human, like a human in a pocket. They may get so good that you won’t even know they’re not human. Your tutor / assistant will have the knowledge of most of the internet and you can ask it anything to get mostly accurate information. You may even talk to it like you would on a video call (again, without knowing they are not human). This assistant may also act as your friend, confidant and therapist. You’ll be able to confine anything in them if you choose to (but remember who will have access to that…)

- The ultimate productivity assistant. You’ll be able to tell it what to do and it’ll just do it for you short of driving. Need to write an email? Make an appointment via a call? Order groceries online? Order a meal for Sunday lunch? Just let it know and it’ll happen, on time, exactly as specified. The person on the other end may never know they didn’t speak to you personally, unless Apple bakes in some sort of an identifier (probably a good idea).

- Ability to call your deceased relatives if there are audio recordings of them in the past. Combined with their voice and ways of thinking, you can make a call to have a conversation with them like they were there. Hello black mirror.

- App recommendations: Your phone will see what kinds of apps you install and may recommend other apps you may enjoy. (Opt in feature).

- Advanced spam filtering. Email may be transformed significantly where spam is reduced to near zero. A LLM can analyze billions of emails in an anonymized fashion and be able to filter out most spam. What google did back in the day will be cranked up even further.

- Recommendations for your kids. You may be able to ask your personal ai assistant to analyze your child’s behavior, inclinations, preferences and more.. to get a tailored set of recommendations that maximize their future based on your or their priorities. This can be a double edge sword but I suspect many parents will use it.

What other fun or dystopian ideas can you imagine coming to the iPhone?

This got me…

“Real time audio translation. Speak through your phone to speak a different language in real time.”

That’s going to explode production between everyone involved in Open Source cooperation

Self centred and Centralised organisations can not leverage this capability anything like a decentralised open source cooperative mindset can and will

Suddenly communities of freedom loving coders all over the world can cooperate seamlessly without language barriers

What a time to be alive

So much MSM fear of AI

Did they forget Isaac Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics?

A set of ethical guidelines for the behavior of robots that ensure their safe and responsible use in society.

The laws are as follows:

(1) a robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm;

(2) a robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law;

(3) a robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Asimov later added a fourth or zeroth law that superseded the others, stating that a robot may not harm humanity, or, by inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.
