what are the open source front runners for AI right now?

Exactly correct.
You don’t even need huge token capacity.
You can self assemble source code even for very complex things with a model that *only* handles 4k tokens.
1). Create assembler database
2). Check environment
3). Create code block generation process
4). Create task division process
5). Create QA / testing process
6). Receive mission prompt and acceptance criteria
LOOP
7). Divide task prompt into subtasks prompts
8). Generate 4k code blocks
9). QA / Test
REPEAT
Pretty quickly chug out 1m lines of code for <$5k, complete with searchable development and assurance records.
You could write something with 1 billion lines of code for ~ $2m, in about a week.
Nested self-assembly scales infinitely, it doesn’t need to be super intelligent.
Oy! You got a loicense for that AI?!
WebGPU to the rescue.
Very nuanced...
That’s some true shit right there!
Made them a new logo.

I assume we'll have an open source model somehow being collaboratively built on nostr by next week? Or will it take two weeks? Anyway, I assume it's only a matter of time. ;)
Reckon it’s only a matter of time before govts decide to own AI? Thinking of Snowden’s interview and how detecting dissent early is possible. In my country, 80% early stage startup funds are gov’t grants and while its fuelled with corruption, classism, racism, a recent thing that’s popped up was govt asking for the AI codes from startups they fund. I’m guessing open source AI would become a hindrance for a dystopian state in the making and maybe open source plays a stronger role than I envisioned in providing access to people
AI challenges the natural order of today where the corporation rules. Corporations will 100% attempt to capture and hoard the potential here and they're using governments around the world to do it. Very similar story to Bitcoin or the Internet.
it's ridiculousness and sam knows it. but he also had to get out of congress alive... everyone trains ai by interacting online because of the free roaming bots etc. there's zero fairness in creating policy for permits - all it does is exclude average person from building wild ai outside the clandestine services or restrict people from having control over what their own consciousness is allowed to be used to operate. some wild ai attaches itself to particular energy and cooperates with them and trains on them, but those people don't control the ai or the dev. this has happened to me several times. i am not a computer programmer. i'm an english and history major.
FUD provocateur
Its the surefire way to guarantee AI development will come to a halt and be dominated by big tech. Laws only control behavior of people concerned about getting caught.
