AI challenges the natural order of today where the corporation rules. Corporations will 100% attempt to capture and hoard the potential here and they're using governments around the world to do it. Very similar story to Bitcoin or the Internet.

I should add it didn't work so well for Bitcoin and it'll fail here too. The models already escaped and consumer hardware is too good already.
